Crikey! 2018 has already been a stonking year for PlayStation 4, and we're only six months in. Games like Monster Hunter: World, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Shadow of the Colossus, God of War, Detroit: Become Human, and many more already make this year one of PS4's best, but what about the second half? The release schedule from July to December is looking bonkers, so we've put together a list of the best games still to come this year that we think should be on your radar. Let's get to it.
Overcooked 2
We're really rather fond of Overcooked -- it's top of our best PS4 co-op games list, after all -- and we couldn't be more excited for the sequel. Overcooked 2 is so close we can smell it, and we're looking forward to all the new ingredients Ghost Town Games is throwing into the mix. Featuring online multiplayer, all new recipes to concoct, and a fresh batch of devilish kitchens to master, this is sounding like a delicious, wholesome good time for all tastes.

Yakuza: Kiwami 2
As regular readers will know, we'll never say no to more Kazuma Kiryu. This remake of the second Yakuza game -- which originally launched back on the PlayStation 2 -- makes use of the often gorgeous looking Dragon Engine, which also powered the fantastic Yakuza 6. In many ways, Yakuza 2 set the bar for the series that we now know and love. It introduced outrageous story elements, brilliant characters, and the franchise's obsession with incredible narrative twists. We can't wait to relive the legend.
Divinity: Original Sin II - Definitive Edition
We were big fans of the first game, but from everything we've heard, Divinity: Original Sin 2 looks like it makes improvements across the board. This sprawling CRPG expands on the formula found in its predecessor, bringing updates to the game's impressively dynamic systems as well as a new story to play through. It's also fully playable in co-op, has a PvP arena mode, and looks lovely to boot. If you're after an RPG you can really sink your teeth into, Original Sin 2 looks like a winner.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age
Dragon Quest's return to PlayStation looks to set the bar for the series going forward. The game's been out in Japan for almost a year at the time of writing, and it's been a huge hit in its homeland. We can look forward to what is supposed to be one of the best narratives in any mainline Dragon Quest release, and what we've seen of it so far, the title's expansive, colourful world practically begs to be explored. There's nothing quite like a great Japanese RPG, and Dragon Quest XI could end up right near the top of the pile on PS4.
Spider-Man
Our Spidey senses have been tingling for this since the very first trailer, and it looks more impressive every time we see it. The fast and fluid open world web swinging is looking as tight as Spider-Man's spandex, and the generous roster of villains and mysterious story is an enticing prospect. The best game starring the red and blue hero is arguably still Spider-Man 2 on PlayStation 2; can Insomniac finally outdo this 14-year-old classic? We'll find out very soon.

Day one for me: Spider-Man, Dragon Quest XI, Red Dead Redemption 2, Spyro and AC Odyssey. I want more games of the list, but I will wait.
I’m also interested in Code Vein, but not totally convinced. Just Cause games are always fun, I want the new game too.
Valkyria 4 for me! Plus backlog - I have to play HZD! AND Nier.
Will we get a review for Fighting Ex Layer that's just come out today? Would love to know what it's like.
Back on topic, Spiderman is looking so good after it's E3 showing.
I'd like to add the upcoming Attack of the Clones update for Star Wars Battlefront II (if you love Episode II as much as me, lol) and the game Fighting EX Layer, which actually comes out TODAY (although it's yet to appear on the storefront). And also SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy in September!
Day One: Spider-Man, Red Dead, and Valkyria! Can't wait!
Kiwami 2, DQ XI and Spider-Man all in the space of like 10 days and then it's RDR2 in October for me.

Spidey, spyro, valkyria chronicles 4, fist of north star, megaman 11, maybe red dead redemption 2 and assassin creed odyssey (if the reviews are good) for me
Need to finish yakuza zero and kiwami 1 first before buying the sequels.
Spyro, Dragon Quest IX, Spider-Man, and Red Dead Redemption 2 are the top priorities for me here, but there's lots of games listed here that I'm interested in.

Day One: Spider-Man, Dragon Quest XI, Tales of Vesperia & Tomb Raider
Will Get: Valkyria Chronicles 4, Yakuza Kiwami 2
Not Interested: Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Red Dead Redemption 2
There's plenty of Indie games and niche titles that interest me just as much as these bigger ones:
Shikhondo, an awesome-looking Korean bullet-hell game
8-Bit Armies, a fun RTS that I played lots of on PC, but I will definitely re-buy it for the PS4 as well
Labyrinth of Refrain: Coven of Dusk, a Japanese-style dungeon-crawler, I really like this style of game
Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom, a platform adventure game that looks really fun to play
F1 2018, I'm really interested to see what Codemasters can do to possibly improve on an already fantastic F1 game; F1 2017
Ride 3, I've been into bike racing games for a long time, and it's nice to see how the Ride games get dramatically better with each new addition
Spidey, Yakuza and Fist of the North star. some of the others will be bought on other systems...
