Sony PlayStation confused everyone with the announcement of its E3 2018 press conference, but now that the dust has settled we have a much clearer picture of what the company intends to show. For many of you, this will be the “big one”, so you’re going to want to know and where you’ll be able to watch the PlayStation E3 2018 Showcase. We can help.
When is Sony PlayStation’s E3 2018 press conference?
Sony PlayStation’s E3 2018 press conference will take place on Monday, 11th June, 2018.
What time is Sony PlayStation’s E3 2018 press conference?
Monday, 11th June @ 6PM PDT
- North America: 6pm (Mon) PDT / 7pm (Mon) MDT / 8pm (Mon) CDT / 9pm (Mon) EDT
- UK/Ire: 2am BST
- Europe: 3am CEST / 4am EEST
- Asia/Oceania: 10am JST / 9am AWST / 11am AEST
How long will Sony PlayStation’s E3 2018 press conference be?
Recent PlayStation press conferences have been extremely brief, so we’re not expecting this year’s show to run longer than 90 minutes at the absolute most.
What games will Sony PlayStation show during its E3 2018 press conference?
In an unprecedented twist, Sony has confirmed the four games which it will be spotlighting during its E3 2018 press conference ahead of time: Death Stranding, Spider-Man, Ghost of Tsushima, and The Last of Us: Part II. All four exclusives will receive “deep dives” from the platform holder, meaning we should get a good long look at gameplay and new details on story, characters, mechanics, and much more.
What games are rumoured to be at Sony PlayStation’s E3 2018 press conference?
Sony seems to have set expectations for what its E3 2018 press conference will include ahead of time to prevent disappointment. This means that, beyond the four aforementioned titles, you probably shouldn’t expect a whole lot else from the firm’s press conference – especially not from a first-party perspective.
The organisation has said that there will be some third-party announcements as well, with titles like Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 almost certain to be part of the lineup. There’s a small chance we may see more of Red Dead Redemption 2 as well, although Rockstar tends to avoid E3 when it can.
The big game that’s currently rumoured is Devil May Cry 5, which has been a source of speculation for some time. Many expect this long-awaited sequel to be revealed on Sony’s stage. It’s also possible we’ll see From Software’s next title during the PlayStation press conference as well, although it could just as easily pop up during Microsoft’s show if it’s multiformat.

a bit too late for me i'll have to catch it on youtube the following morning
EDIT: quick question i know this is a PlayStation site but when will Microsofts conference be?
@FullbringIchigo I think it's on the Sunday evening (UK). We'll probably stream it here because there will almost certainly be games of interest for PlayStation fans.
It's kind of strange how GI had their month of coverage for Spiderman and yet we barely got any new gameplay .
@get2sammyb great, i wonder if they will have any surprises?
I will love to watch more of the big 4 exclusives, it would be great if Sony shows more details of games like Dreams, Medievil and Concrete Genie as well. Can’t wait for the conference!
The first-party stuff is all I'm interested in at the moment. Don't care about BFV if it's WW2, haven't cared about CoD in a long time, not interested in RDR... so unless Ubi are going to announce Far Cry 6, GR Wildlands 2, or Watch_Dogs 3, Sony's stuff is all that's left for me.
It's a shame we've hit a point where all their studios are currently in the midst of working on already-announced titles, as there's unlikely to be anything new of note, which is presumably why they're going for this type of conference and giving more detail on upcoming stuff.
Although that could be deliberate I guess, as that would potentially clear next year's E3 for the announcement of new titles, perhaps alongside or in conjunction with (whisper it) news of PS5.
In the meantime, hopefully we'll at least get some firm release dates.
What do I want to see at E3?
Meredith Molinari. And her legs. Enough said. She is gorgeous. Ohhh how my 19 year old self dreams and fantasises in the annual E3 period about having an actual chance with her one day 😟
From a games perspective, Watch Dogs are my favourites. So, I'd naturally like to see Watch Dogs 3 get revealed. A DOOM sequel too, as I loved the first one, but it might not happen yet as they're doing RAGE 2 with Avalanche. The rumoured Splinter Cell game would be awesome too. I've never played Splinter Cell. I've always wanted to but stuff has got in the way each time. Ohhh, and it's ridiculously unlikely, but a Simpsons Hit and Run Remaster (Or even a sequel?) Would easily be a dream confirmation for me too.
I will watch all conferences and EA cringe right here with you guys <3
@FullbringIchigo you up on ori and the will of wisps?
Sony already has many exclusives for the rest of the generation, but I would be so happy to play one more Ratchet & Clank and Sly Cooper on PS4.
It's the only one I'm going to stay up for, but I feel like it's going to be worth it.
@PS_Nation Same here, I'd love to see Jak & Daxter make a comeback too, as unlikely as that could be...
Do they stream this over PS4 ???
@ToddlerNaruto So true, Jak and Daxter is another series that should come back. The second game is one of my favorite games ever. All the games of the trilogy are great.
@PS_Nation You also haven't played the Combat Racing?
I liked the Daxter game and what little I played of Lost Frontier.
@ToddlerNaruto No, sadly. I just played the main trilogy.
@PS_Nation You can get Jak X: Combat Racing on PS4...as for Daxter it's PSP only.
Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier can be played on Vita though.
I thought you were starting the live chat 6 hours early.
No Ubi chat? What about the Just Dance fans?
I was thinking about, maybe the new Remedy game will be announced on this conference?
6 PM is perfect ! I'll be there.
Any idea if anyone's streaming this in 4K anywhere?
Whats the best way too watch on PS4? IGN app seems ok. I'm on Wii U Gamepad for live chat.
