Holy crap, is it actually happening? Thanks to some super sleuthing from Gematsu, it would appear that Bandai Namco is preparing a Tales of Vesperia-related announcement for E3 2018. Naturally, fans of the Japanese role-playing series have lost their minds over the news.
If you're wondering why that is, it's because Vesperia is widely regarded as one of the best games in the Tales series. However, its presence was stunted here in the West because it was originally an Xbox 360 exclusive. The title did get an enhanced re-release on PlayStation 3, but only in Japan. Western fans have been begging Bandai Namco for some sort of port for years.
And dreams may finally come true in the very near future. According to Gematsu's sources, the publisher is set to reveal a Tales of Vesperia remaster at the Los Angeles expo, and the publication has even discovered a password-protected Japanese website for the game. If all of this turns out to be true, we reckon a PlayStation 4 release is nailed on.
Would you be up for a Tales of Vesperia remaster? Did you ever play the original? Get extremely overexcited in the comments section below.

Oh hell yes. I just hope the art style isn't unduly modified. It's my favourite style of the whole series! Such a great game
Otaku rejoice!
Cool. It'll probably go to all three consoles.
I've never properly played a Tales game, but I wouldn't mind starting with this.
Its probably the Tales of game they said was coming to Switch over a year ago. Release on all platforms and make the new one "Enterteria" for PS4/PC.
yes, for me the best of the series and the main reason i bought a 360.
I hope is the ps3 version.
This is by far my favorite tales game. Day one buy for me.
it would be nice and with my XBOX 360 dead and no sign of it coming to the BC program this could be my only option to play it again
Is this the music one?
@get2sammyb no that was Symphonia
I think I just died and went to heaven
Ive bought beseria, and im just about to start it and really get into this series for the first time!
I really liked this game back on the 360. I remember hating the characters at first but they won me over and I believe Troy Baker voices Yuri, which I only realised recently. Love that 'Ring a Bell' theme tune, too.
Lovely game and very accessible. It has the best music and visuals of the lot. Tales characters often get a poor rap, but Vesperia has a nice bunch of heroes. It'll be cool to finally get the PS3 additions.
@Ralizah Im happy when i can play it no matter what. I loved the Japanese trailer but i need subtitles and a english menu i want to know whats going on.
meh. people have been spoiled with tales games for decades! the series is average to mediocre — why it has such a large following is anyone's guess. where is the xenosaga HD remaster! is that too much to ask for?!
One of the best games i played on the xbox 360.Although not my favourite Tales game (That goes to Tales Of The Abyss and Tales Of Graces F) this was a very fun and engaging game with a great story and likeable characters.This was at a time when the Tales games were still great.I would most probably pick this up if it came to ps4.And then moan about the good ol days when Tales games used to be good.
Oh my God, I will die a happy man. If you have not played this game, please do. It the 'FF7' of the Tales series, there I said it. I love this damn game!
@get2sammyb
No that's eternal sonata
I played the fan translation for the PS3 version recently, it was great.
Yasssssssssssssssssssss played every single tales game barr this cos it wasn't released in the UK:D
I really hope they release this game for PS4 and maybe Switch
The best tales
@AlejandroMora Same here, would suck if PS4 Remaster used the Xbox 360 version.
I've actually bought four Tales games and never finished one. In fact I haven't started three of them. So I might as well add this one to the collection I guess.
@NintendoFan4Lyf yeah your right i got it mixed up with Eternal Sonata
This is a must buy for me, absolutely. Had the original on Xbox 360 but sold it a couple of years ago with some other games to buy my PS4. Always resented the way in which we basically got a timed exclusive, then probably because of a clause in that deal, didn't get the enhanced edition.
I created an account just to contribute to the going mental. Lol.
I have loved the tales series since Tales of Destiny 1 on the OG Playstation. But Vesperia was something really special for me. I agree that over the years Tales games have declined and they just aren't the same. But Vesperia is what I would point anyone to as the quintessential Tales game.
This game was so good. I would buy it again on PS4 or switch in a heartbeat. The characters were great and not cringe worthy like some can be. I thought the combat was really fun, yes it's Tales combat, but there was enough there to sink your teeth into. The best thing for me was the art in this game. The music, sets, characters and everything it was all just so good to me. It's like this game was made specifically for me lol. I loved every second of it. Please, please be a remaster on the switch or PS4.
