Fallout 76’s promised B.E.T.A. will begin (and presumably break) in October, ahead of the title’s 14th November launch. The test will be available on Xbox One first, with the PlayStation 4 to follow after an unspecified period of exclusivity. Anyone who pre-orders the title at participating retailers will be able to see the servers set on fire for themselves.
Additional information is incoming, most likely during the online title’s panel at QuakeCon next month. That’ll be streamed online on 11th August, so it may well be worth tuning in to.

Booo, why not an open beta! Personally, I'm much more likely to buy a game I'm kinda "meh" about if there's a demo or open beta (since I wouldn't have tried the game otherwise).
With these closed betas, I've been buying beta codes for $5 online to circumvent the whole pre-order thing, if it's a game like this that I'm super unsure about. I guess I could also pre-order at the store and then cancel it before release, too.
@smelly_jr That's what I'm doing on Amazon. They already sent me a code to sign up fro the beta so I'll give it a shot and if I don't like what I see, I'll cancel my PO before they have a chance to ship it out.
@Deadlyblack Guess I'll save myself $5 and do the Amazon thing too!
Pre ordered the collectors edition, I just want the helmet
Xbox is finally first in something!
bethesda wants crossplay from sony but always favors microsoft
Timed exclusivity for a beta test 😂 Microsoft will pay for anything won’t they
There's no way in hell this won't be a complete mess.
Always do the amazon thing with betas. I plan to do the same for black ops 4.
@Deadlyblack make sure they don't lock you to the preorder, not checked on Amazon but I asked Shop To & Game collection both said they lock you to the preorder when the code is used
I personally think this whole thing is gonna go off without a hitch.
When can I test out their next single player Fallout?
