A recent Bandai Namco livestream has given us our first proper look at Digimon Survive. The upcoming monster-based RPG was announced a week or so ago, and the game's set to be a mix of visual novel-style character interaction and tactical turn based combat.
As you can see from the footage that we've embedded above, it's got a lovely art style, blending 2D characters and digimon with 3D environments.
Digimon Survive is currently set to launch in Japan next year, and although we don't have confirmation of a Western release, we imagine that it's likely given the publisher's track record.

Digimon + Final Fantasy Tactics gameplay = Me getting this for sure
Disappointed, I was expecting something more like Digimon world
@GKO900 Same here, either that or Cyber Sleuth. I may still play Digimon Survive eventually but not until it's $10-$15 New in a few years from release.
hmm... I like tactics, but at least use 3D models instead of 2D spirit...
guess they are trying to please a different demographic... or just low on budget...
