What if football was a tactical role-playing game? The likes of Captain Tsubasa and Inazuma Eleven have already explored that idea, but Ganbare! Super Strikers looks to revisit it on the PlayStation 4 this year. It’s a turn-based title where you’ll need to level up your players, earn equipment, and out-think your opponents in order to out-score them on the pitch.
The release, which is due out this month on PC, will feature a full story mode where you’ll work your way up from local town hero to World Cup winner. There’s a trailer embedded above which should give you a better idea of how the gameplay works. Is this the type of game you’d be willing to try? Roll into the comments section like Neymar.

This newfound confidence the England fans have is just going to make the eventual disappointment all the more enjoyable. I swear if another pundit at Wimbledon mentions that penalty shoot out I'm going to flip.
It's just like watching Man Utd.
Seems interesting, would give it a try.
Critical hit! England past out! Press X to try again 4 years later!

@nessisonett you enjoy it when people are disappointed?
Weird.
This is right up there with those fishing games that somehow keep being made.
@kyleforrester87 As a Scotland fan, disappointment is all I know. When another team gets hit with the same awful luck, I feel like the world is at least balanced in some way.
