Frogwares’ forthcoming The Sinking City looks awesome, and so too does Cyanide’s Call of Cthulhu. Both are taking different approaches to H.P. Lovecraft’s cosmic universe, with this game adopting a first-person perspective. You play as an investigator named Edward Pierce who’s sent to an island named Darkwater, which is inhabited by all kinds of curious characters.
The more detective work you do, the more you’ll uncover the truth about the Old Gods, but you’ll have to battle madness along the way. This one looks to be more of an RPG than The Sinking City’s adventure game, so both appear to have unique takes on iconic lore. The only issue for Call of Cthulhu is that it’s due out on 30th October – a few days after Red Dead Redemption 2.

Have been looking at this for some time but admittedly, I'll be playing Read Dead Redemption 2.
I’m super excited for this game and have it preordered.
That said, given how soon it’s coming out, I’m nervous about how little marketing it seems to have received.
Looks good, very much looking forward to this..>
although i'm pretty sure the h is silent, narrator man...
Unless i've been saying wrong all these years!
Red Dead 2 could take forever - in a good way. I'll go for the Call first as it seems to have a good story and, being a lifelong Lovecraft fan is something I'm looking forward to a lot more.
Really looking forward to this as its right up my alley. Can't go wrong with a little bit of the old gods
@nathanSF Same here, RDR2 can wait. I’ll go for 🐙s and 🦑s first!
Grand Theft Horse will surely win the battle, but we all know only Cthulhu can win the war.
