It seems like the organisers of Gamescom 2018 have graduated from the renowned School of Geoff Keighley, as they’re bigging up some World Premieres set to debut during the Cologne convention’s opening ceremony. You’ll be able to watch the event unfold live from 10AM BST on 21st August, where Ubisoft promises to present a “global premiere” and THQ Nordic is planning to reveal a “previously unannounced title based on one of the publisher’s established brands”.
Bandai Namco will also showcase a brand new game from a European developer, while Deep Silver will have something to say. And curiously, the show promises to debut the first trailer from Life Is Strange 2 – despite its official reveal being planned for 20th August, the day prior. Sounds like a strong lineup, though, and definitely worth tuning in for. You’ll be able to watch live on the event’s website, but if we can sort out an embed we’ll get a live blog going here at Push Square.

So THQ Nordic is having two reveals huh. Already one of the biggest EU publishers in the business now.
Legend of Dragoon 2 and Syphon Filter reboot will be announced, I believe...
COME ON PLAYSTATION ALL STARS 2 BABY
Splinter Cell?
@PS_Nation Maaaaayyybee at PSX, highly doubt they'd drop some titles like that at Gamescom.
Tak and the Power of Juju 3. Or maybe it's 4. Somebody is going to bring it back alongside all of those Nickolodeon games.
Opening with the Hoff?
new red faction.word up son
Hopefully there'll be lots of tasty new game info for me to catch up on once I've finished work for that day.
@rjejr I did actually rather enjoy Tak and the Power of Juju 1 back in the PS2 era.
Come on Sony hurry up and announce NA PSX so I can book my hotel.....hopefully it’s still in Anaheim
@Knuckles-Fajita It HAS to be Timesplitters after the news about their acquisition. The timing is too perfect.
@crimsontadpoles I think the biggest problem with that game was that it came out around the same time as Jak and Daxter, Racthet and Clank, and Sly Cooper, and it wasn't quite as good as any of those 3. I really liked the first one though, don't think the sequels brought anything new, maybe less polish in the cut scenes. But 1 was good, I just don't think it could compete.
Sooooooooo no LIS2 reveal as planned?!? Wth 😭 hella lame-oid
