Throughout the course of Shenmue, Ryo Hazuki will reminisce about his relationship with his father, and the lessons he taught him. Specifically there are a sequence of cut-scenes throughout the campaign which act as flashbacks, in which Iwao imparts valuable information to his son. In this guide, we’re going to show you how to find the flashback in the kitchen which will unlock the 'Yummy Meal' Trophy.

How to Find the Flashback in the Kitchen in Shenmue

In order to find the flashback in the kitchen and unlock the 'Yummy Meal' Trophy, complete the first full day of Shenmue’s campaign and head back to the Hazuki Residence to go to bed. When you wake up, go into the kitchen and there should be a meal on the table. Hold the L2 button to enter Ryo’s first-person perspective, and look at the meal. This will trigger a sepia cut-scene, and when it’s finished, you’ll be awarded the 'Simpler Times' Trophy.
