In order to highlight the protagonist’s relationship with his parent, there are a series of flashback cut-scenes to find throughout the campaign, which can be triggered by looking at an object or even standing in the right place. How to Find the Flashback in the Yard in Shenmue

In order to find the flashback in the yard and unlock the 'Simpler Times' Trophy, head to the tree opposite the dojo immediately after you take control of Ryo in the Hazuki residence. Once you stand in front of the tree, the spiky haired protagonist will begin to reminisce, and a short, sepia cut-scene will play. Watch it in order to get the 'Simpler Times' Trophy.
