Shakedown: Hawaii, the long-awaited sequel to 8-bit open world game Retro City Rampage, has received a new teaser trailer ahead of PAX West 2018 this weekend. The clip shows off the release’s eye-popping new 16-bit visuals, as the protagonist commandeers speedboats and lets rip with flamethrowers in the release’s retro world.
“Shakedown: Hawaii parodies mega corporations, white collar crimes, and the most comically egregious business practices that go alongside,” the blurb explains. You’ll build your financial empire by completing missions, acquiring buildings, and just generally manipulating the market. It’s a great pitch, so we can’t wait to become billionaires in the near future.

@NintendoFan4Lyf It's a pretty nice novelty. I bounced off it quite quickly, but a lot of effort went into it. It's a good game.
Good to see indies still support the Vita! I wonder if it will be cross-play...
@NintendoFan4Lyf Do, if you have it. RCR is great fun.
Hopefully Vblank has this on for a physical Vita release too.
@NintendoFan4Lyf I’ll queue up with those recommending you to play RCR, it’s great fun!
Ace. I was just thinking about this yesterday. Hopefully it gets a release this year. I know the dev loves the vita too so less chance of a last minute cancellation.
Looks pretty cool. I'll keep my eye on it. I'm up for a good 8-bit criminal romp.
Best. Game. Ever.
Super Kawaii? It's not a cute -em up! I guess it's kinda cute.....with a lot of guns and killing and stuff
wasnt this due out years ago
Woah, out of no where! This is so awesome, iloved the first one
This is how 2d games would have evolved if the PSX didn't herald in the new 3d era in 1995
Forgot all about this game... still interested lol
Great to see there are still great games coming to the Vita, this makes me very happy. The simple graphics means it should hopefully be a small file as well which is always handy.
