Yacht Club Games is wrapping up Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove with a final instalment named Shovel Knight Showdown, a chaotic platforming fighting game featuring 16 characters from the popular property’s universe. The four-player free-for-all has primarily been designed with multiplayer in mind, but there is a single player story mode punctuated with minigames and multiple stages.
You’ll be able to purchase this individually for $9.99, but if you already own Treasure Trove, then it’ll be yours to download free of charge on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. Unfortunately, the developer’s confirmed that this won’t be available on the PS Vita, which is a bit of shame. There’s no release date just yet, but you can check out a bunch of gameplay embedded above.

Whilst i dont see why this couldnt run on the Vita, on this occasion i dont think it would be fair to complain. The devs have served the game very very well on all platforms with additional content.
I can understand the MP not coming to Vita as it's local coop only, hopefully Vita will get the SP content.
I knew this was coming but had no idea they would include characters other than the 4 that have single player campaigns. This is amazing!
So what about the King Knight campaign? Will that come with this one?
As long as king knight campaign is still coming to vita, I have no problem.
"wrapping up"? What about King Knight??
For anyone wondering, this is releasing along with the King Knight campaign, which they said they'll announce the release date of this week
