Frogwares’ open world Lovecraftian love-in The Sinking City has surfaced with a disturbing debut gameplay trailer – but it may not be for the faint hearted. The game takes place in the fictional city of Oakmont in Massachusetts, and you’ll play as a detective who’s gradually going insane. It’s basically the same premise as Call of Cthulhu, so it’ll be interesting to see how these two titles approach similar subject matter.
In the case of this particular game, the developer will be drawing upon its work with the likeable Sherlock Holmes games, fusing exploration with investigation. The open world backdrop, of course, will allow you to pursue leads in any which way you like – but beware Eldritch horrors lurking in dark alleys. The title’s due out on 21st March next year, and we’re really looking forward to it.

That was not an easy trailer to watch. Really disturbing.
@Shepherd_Tallon Yeah, me too, because The Sinking City has got some combat in, whereas I think Call Of Cthulhu will just be investigative. Definitely looking forward to both, though 🐙
Hopefully at least one of them will be really good.
Heads up, your release date on the side says 2018, not 2019.
did you make your punny tagline while exiting an Access Hollywood bus, by chance ?
Omg instant buy!!!
