Have you ever seen that Donald Duck meme where he walks in a factory and comes out commenting on everything being the same? It feels a little bit like that on the PlayStation 4 at the moment with Battle Royale games – there are bloody loads of them. And during a Chinese press conference in Shanghai today, Perfect World Entertainment took to the stage to announce Farside – yes, a Battle Royale game.
There’s a trailer captured by DualShockers above, which sets the tone for the title. To be honest, it looks like your standard Battle Royale affair – there’s a big shrinking map, and you’ve got to try and emerge the victor in it. There’ll be vehicles for you to drive, and there’ll even be a skill tree so that you can upgrade your character over time. The title will launch worldwide later this year.

So how many is that already?
yey! (i said in the most sarcastic tone possible)
this trend has become drier than the 2018 EA press conference.
I don't mind that a bunch of BR games are releasing. I feel like the concept is great but no game has really nailed it yet. I'm still waiting for one that delivers on the promise made by games like PUBG.
You know what I want? A team focused battle royale game where it's humans vs aliens. It could take examples from Resistance and possibly even War of the Worlds and other cult scifi movies.
@sketchturner H1Z1 could've had AI zombies/small hordes dotted around the map, shopping centres, forests etc as an additional strategic element. They really missed a trick there.
yawns
And yet another fps, and side scroller, and puzzler, and action adventure, and survival, and on and on. There are multiple titles in every genre with more being made all the time. We currently stand at 2 battle royale games....fortnite and h1z1....the culling 2 was removed for obvious reasons. Unless I'm missing something, what are all the other ones currently on PS4?
@TFHH shhhhh let people complain. Lol.
Sony should really use this trend to bring back mag or socom in a br style game since they had br elements already.
Oh.............yay..................hmmm
We don't have enough. We need more. Nintendo should jump on it too.
So... When are we getting PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale 2?
