Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove’s final two add-ons, multiplayer brawler Showdown and mini-campaign King of Cards, will both launch on 9th April next year, meaning you’ve got a while to wait before the bumper bundle wraps up. Yacht Club Games can be forgiven for taking its time, though, as it’s compiled one of the largest, most consumer friendly platforming packages in history here.
King of Cards, for those of you who don’t know, will see you assume the role of the “gilded goon” King Knight, across four brand new worlds and over 30 courses. Meanwhile, you can learn more about Showdown through here. The indie developer will be celebrating the release of both add-ons with a commemorative physical PlayStation 4 release, as well as some amiibos – but we'll let our sister site tell you about those.

The plural of amiibo is amiibo Sammy. It's like Sheep. For some reason.
Still, physical release.....again. Only this has everything instead of the initial release that had...some of it.
April 9th better not be around anything else as I may just pick this up. For the fourth time.
I can wait as long as I have to for more Shovel Knight without any complaining - I know all of this was promised in their Kickstarter campaign, but they've gone above and beyond what anybody expected of them to produce some of the best platformers I've ever played, all completely for free. I can't wait to try this campaign, and I'm looking forward to whatever Yacht Club Games makes next!
So all of this dlc is free? If so I may go ahead and pick this up.
I already have a physical copy of Shovel Knight, but it's nice to see them bundle everything together.
Ya know, Yacht adds new levels and worlds to Shovel Knight. I really wish the Shantae DLC featured different levels.

Even longer if you have the game on Vita, it's not getting the "Showdown" multiplayer component, either as part of the game or stand alone for $9.99 like the home consoles.
You know, just in case anybody missed the article from 2 days ago.

Just to clarify 9th April is the switch release date. Have thay confirmed when the game will be launching on PS4?
Thay have said that is also release on PS4 that day http://yachtclubgames.com/2018/08/the-shovel-knight-finale-treasure-trove-physical-version/
@Knuckles-Fajita I don’t know how it is in english. But in dutch there is a grammar rule that says that words taken from other languages without plurals (japanese for example) don’t have a plural form here either. Maybe it is the same for english?
I know that that’s the reason words like amiibo, pokemon, manga and anime don’t have a plural form.
I'm waiting for the base game to be in a sale!!
@rjejr in fairness, the original kickstarter pitch always said that it was unlikely handhelds would be getting the multiplayer mode as they were designing it around couch play, not online. I think vita owners will be very happy if we get king of cards. The support the devs have given this game goes above and beyond what could reasonably be expected
I played only the main game, without dlcs and stuff. Am I missing too much? Shovel Knight is great btw.
I felt bad for having not gotten around to getting Shovel Knight yet but i'm so glad i haven't now, i will be getting the complete collection for sure next april
@Rob_230 Thank you. Guess I rely on too much on these gaming websites to give me the info I should be searching for myself. Had I known that at all I wouldn't have been bothered. I'm pretty sure I've never been on their kickstarter page though as my son just bought it after it came out, we've never supported a kickstarter.
Thanks again for setting me straight, I'll cease and desist now.
I will not be getting it for the Switch. 😜
