Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown will, as promised, sport a full PlayStation VR campaign – and, perhaps unsurprisingly, the series looks like it was made for virtual reality. This brand new trailer debuted during Sony’s LineUp Tour livestream earlier today doesn’t really show anything new, but it’s clear that the title’s going to be a treat with the manufacturer’s futuristic face mask attached.
We’re really excited for this sequel in general, because it’s looking strong both with PSVR and on standard screens. Will you be taking flight with this title come 18th January? Have a safe journey in the comments section below.

"That was some of the best flying I've seen to date — right up to the part where you got killed."
That looks amazing and the type of experience VR was built for. I'm still gutted Star Wars Battlefront never built upon that excellent VR level, the sense of scale and sound when flying around the star destroyer was incredible
Looks great but the main thing I want to know is if they've ditched the terrible CoD-type "realism" and gone back to the more unique Japanese roots of the series.
@carlos82 Yep, it would undoubtedly be a system seller. Gave me goosebumps when I was sitting in the X-Wing and the music started.
@Matroska They have! This one is set in Strangereal and makes nods to both Ace Combat 04 and 5; plus the Gamescom trailer is full of the spinetingling melodramatic plot and orchestral soundtrack the series is known for.
