Codemasters Gears Up for DiRT Related Announcement Tomorrow

DiRT Rally 2 confirmed?

Remember yesterday when several Twitter accounts related to Codemasters' DiRT series sent out the same "2.0" tweet at the same time? Well, turns out a new game in the rally racing franchise really is on the way. We're due an announcement tomorrow, according to the below tweet.

This seemingly confirms the suspicion that DiRT Rally 2.0 is right around the hairpin corner. Whatever it is, we can expect to see more of it tomorrow at 10:30am BST. In the meantime, we get a nice teaser image, which looks wonderfully ominous.

Oh nice. I'm playing Dirt 4 at the moment. I enjoyed Dirt Rally too, I'd be up for Dirt Rally 2.

It is kind of odd that they have Dirt and Dirt Rally franchises running side by side though?

@sabaki08 An open world Rally sim? I'm not really sure Rally lends itself to open world racing to be honest lol

Shame they seem to have dropped the GRID franchise on this console generation, in favour of (now) three rally games on the PS4

I used to have the road-going version of the blue Subaru Impreza in this articles thumbnail. Though it had a face only a mother could love, I adored my Subaru Impreza WRX STI Type-UK. That moniker becomes even more of a mouthful when you suffix it with the Prodrive Performance Pack that mine had.

In any case, the insurance was a killer, so I only had it for a year. But seeing it there makes me instantly want a DiRT Rally 2 just for chance to drive it hard without the worry of an almighty repair bill if I exceeded its (well, my) limits!

Well, I've bought, played and enjoyed all their other Dirt games, so chances are pretty high I'll enjoy a new Dirt Rally as well. I do prefer the more arcade style though, as in the first Dirt game and Dirt 2, those two are still my favorite Dirt games.
