Just like that, DiRT Rally 2.0 has been announced for PlayStation 4, as became obvious yesterday. This is a direct follow up to the more simulation-focused offshoot of the DiRT series. It'll feature locations like New Zealand, Argentina, Spain, Poland, Australia, and the USA, and it sounds just as hardcore as the first game.
As you might imagine, it'll feature regular rally as well as officially licensed Rallycross events across an in-depth career mode, as well as online multiplayer. There's not a whole lot of information to go on just yet, but the last couple of DiRT games have been very strong indeed, so we're pretty excited for this one.
What's more, Codemasters has already pencilled in a release date. You'll be laying down tracks and kicking up dust on 26th February 2019. Are you excited for DiRT Rally 2.0? Don't forget your seatbelt in the comments below.

Any idea if it will have a VR mode?
@Mergatro1d Nothing has been said about VR yet, best not to assume anything. It's not out of the question though, of course.
@Mergatro1d beat me to it.
Another game to add to my list of wanted games. Great news
Yes!
Ahh February though!!! Going to be a crazy 1st quarter again, will certainly be getting this!
I really liked Dirt Rally but it's just too much of a simulator for me! I'm more of an arcade racer and that's why Dirt 4 is way better
Nice 1 Codies
Any new Dirt game is good news in my ears. Now I just need another Grid game, ... Autosport 2.0 or something. I really hope DR2 will feature more locations though, that was my main issue with first game, it was stingy for a modern rally game, even McRae 2005 had more.
I don't think Dirt Rally 2.0 will ever be as popular as the first game though, so I hope CM won't bank everything on this. The first game attracted a tonne of people who were only attracted to the fad of it, it was fashionable to play Dirt Rally.
Don't want to end on a sour note. I'm excited for this new game, this is great news!.
Perfection is back.
@Bonbonetti Agree about the locations. The ones we got were great, but revisiting the same five-or-so countries could make the campaign feel like a bit of a slog. Same with Dirt 4. Still excited for this though
Immediately inserted atop my most anticipated list. I absolutely adore DiRT Rally.
