Japan’s famous Fuji Speedway has been added to Gran Turismo Sport’s track roster as part of a free new update also featuring nine cars and a handful of fresh GT League events. “Following Fuji’s famed 1.5km straight, the first half is a high speed section consisting of tight corners, followed by a technical second half running on a challenging incline,” series creator Kazunori Yamauchi wrote on the PlayStation Blog. “In addition to the classic Fuji Speedway F layout, the Fuji Speedway GT shortcut layout has also been included, and both variants are playable in reverse.”
As mentioned earlier, nine new vehicles have also been included in the v1.28 update. The full list is as follows:
- Alfa Romeo GIULIA TZ2 carrozzata da ZAGATO CN.AR750106 ’65
- BMW M3 GT (BMW Motorsport) ’11
- Mazda RX500 ’70
- Plymouth XNR Ghia Roadster ’60
- Honda NSX Type R ’92
- Nissan Fairlady Z 300ZX TwinTurbo 2seater (Z32) ’89
- Porsche 911 GT3 (996) ’01
- Porsche 911 GT3 (997) ’08
- Dodge Viper SRT10 Coupe ’06
Furthermore, there are three new GT League events for you to try your hand at, spanning the Beginner League through to the Professional League. And if that’s not enough, the pit lane of the new Fuji Speedway has been added to Scapes, so you can photograph your new cars under the Japanese sun. Another impressive update, then, and it’s out now.

Can we take a moment to appreciate that one of the GT League events is called The Passion of Dr Wankel
@adf86 Yes.
After the Wankel engine so expect it to be only Mazda's that will be racing there.
Love GT Sport and all the free updates, wonder if they will do something special for the october update as its the 1 year anniversary
All these free updates are great but I had to delete the game as the space it took on my hard drive was getting ridiculous. What’s the total install size sitting at now?
This game just gets better and better. Just about to give the Fuji track a go in VR.
@Mergatro1d 84.93GB
@MoorePs4 I'm hoping for the Weigert cars and some tracks from GT2/3, but I'm probably dreaming....
@SoulChimera thanks. Now I've seen the install size for RDR2 I'm like, 84GB ain't that bad after all
@MaseSco hoping for Trial Mountain, Grand Valley, and Deep Forest
@MoorePs4 Agreed, those would be welcome as well the Tokyo City variant from GT3.
I passed on this at release b/c I was disappointed in the online focus and small track selection. I wonder if now is a good time to dive in?
@dd8900 it has plenty of single player content now. It's basically a standard gran turismo now. Give sport mode a go though... Its amazing when it's clean.
