A Nintendo GameCube exclusive title that focused on co-op action, we remember spending countless hours with the unbelievably charming Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles -- and now it's being remastered for PlayStation 4.
The game was announced during Sony's PlayStation LineUp Tour event in Japan, where it got a brief trailer. Obviously this version won't support GameBoy Advance-based co-op, so we assume that you'll be able to team up with friends online.
The remaster's due at some point next year, but right now, we're seriously struggling to cope with the overload of nostalgia.
Update: We've embedded the game's English trailer above.

Crystal Chronicles was one of my favourite ever GameCube games. Will definitely play again.
@ShogunRok me too and i hope it does well so they bring the other CC games over too
also i wonder if you can use a PSVita like you could the GBA on the old version?
@FullbringIchigo It'd certainly be a nice touch but I doubt Square will put that much effort into it. We can dream though!
@ShogunRok yeah still even if it's online only co-op it will still be awesome
"so we assume that you'll be able to team up with friends online" probably not, see secret of mana remake
@manu0 yeah but to be fair the original SoM didn't have online co-op either
Never played this, my we bro had the gamecube thou
@manu0 I think the trailer pretty much confirms that you'll be able to play online.
Gimme that english theme. Mmmyes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vmrLfxfRDKs
Using the GBA was one of the best parts of the game. It's a shame the won't do the same with the Vita. But then again Sony do anything with the Vita.
Didn't see this one coming...but I must say I didn't really love it on GC, it was very repetitive and a bit underwhelming, so I'll definitely skip it even if it's FF.
one of the worst "classic era" final fantasy games... this was the entry that made me realize final fantasy wasn't immune to mediocrity and gamecube owners were very unfortunate indeed.
I don't remember anything about this game, but I remember playing coop with my friend and our GBA. I thought it was the coolest thing ever.
Hopefully they do the same with Vita (there's not a chance they will).
I never finished this, because if I remember right I went into the last area not being fully prepared and kept getting destroyed by the “final” boss that wasn’t really the final boss.
I bought this back in the day, along with another friend. It was decent for a Dungeon crawler, but ultimately I lost interest in it. The GBA connectivity was very well done, though.
It's also coming to Switch, which will give Diablo 3 a run for its money.
I'm happy for the fans that grew up on the Crystal Chronicles games, but I'll prob skip this and pick up during a bargain bin sale.
I still have my GameCube version. I will definitely be on the lookout for this!
