One thing the Just Cause games have in common is their big, beautiful open worlds, and Just Cause 4 looks to be no different. Square Enix's new video on the upcoming action game focuses on its fictional setting, Solis, and its various biomes, and it's looking pretty impressive.
Mainly inspired by South America, Solis is a huge environment that includes rainforest, desert, alpine, and grassland areas, all offering different weather and traversal challenges. For example, the mountains are great for wingsuit practice, but blizzards can cut visibility almost entirely.
The map is looking much more diverse than in previous games, so it should make for a far more interesting open world to explore. What do you make of Solis in Just Cause 4? Grapple hook down to the comments below.

Unless they've fixed 3's performance issues, this is a no go for me, and even then, I'm kinda tired of open world games. Maybe they can do something to win me over though.
3 was a worse version of 2 I couldn't see the difference apart from the wing suit. And on pc 3 was awful wven after the patch I can't see this being any different I loved 2 a lot to plat and fully do it on Steam but this would have to change a lot for me to get it again
This is a series that on paper I should love but never clicked for me. I'm not sure why?
@Kidfried That's a good summation of the games. Worryingly all the promotional material is focusing specially on those individual parts it did so well, whilst not really mentioning the bigger overall experience. Physics engines and graphics only keep me entertained for so long. JC3 was great fun at first (even with the performance issues) but it got boring. Hard to see how JC4 can overcome that. Not sure adding dramatic weather and balloons is going to cut it.
This simply looks incredible, day one buy for me.
Have to admit this is a nice video. Has my interest piqued. Wish I knew more of what I'd be doing in all these biomes. Short of "exploring".
