Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition has a new Japanese trailer, showcasing more cutscenes and gameplay from the PlayStation 4 version of the game. The original Tales of Vesperia on Xbox 360 looked really nice when it launched way back in 2008, and honestly, the art style still looks lovely in 2018.
Obviously the visuals have been touched up and remastered, but we reckon this looks better than a lot of JRPGs made with PS4 in mind. The character models in particular are top notch.
In case you missed it, Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition recently got a release date -- it's due next year, on the 11th January.

that's one of the great things about that cel-shaded style, it never seems to age, may of those old games look just as good now as they did when they were released
60 fps or bust.
@FullbringIchigo Cel-shading is gorgeous and timeless. I'd still rate Wind Waker as one of my favourite looking games. It was disappointing when the Tales Studio/Namco decided to abandon the style.
Welp it's not a Dragon Quest XI style of cell shaded epicness but indeed - it looks very good, even today.
January 2019 is shaping up to be a great starter for games next year.
Loved the trailer though hopefully the English Dub version will surface soon.
I'll have too wait on playing this though, most likely a Summer/Fall 2019 purchase for me.
