And the games keep on coming. We're waist deep in the busiest time of year for game releases, and there's now just a few days until the launch of Call of Cthulhu. The promising adaptation of the pen and paper RPG of the same name is released on 30th October, and we now have an eerie launch trailer to enjoy.
This Lovecraftian horror title mixes things up by placing you in the world as a private investigator, tasked with finding out what happened to the Hawkins family. It runs the type of themes you'd expect - madness, distrust, dreams vs. reality - and looks pretty good, by all accounts.
Give the trailer a watch, then let us know what you think in the comments below.

I feel like I'm the only one excited for this. I have it pre ordered and can't wait to play it next Tuesday!!
@jFug Fear not, my intrepid fellow, for I too have great interest in experiencing the eldritch delights and infernal geometry of these monstrosities of eternal loathing.....🐙
@jFug I'm with you. I still haven't bought RDR2 because this looks very promising.
@Quintumply Do you guys already have a date for the review?
I'm intrigued. Lovecraft is tricky to do well, but this looks promising.
@jFug I'm am as well but I'm still trying to figure out what game this mostly plays Like? Maybe murdered soul suspect?, outlast?
Pre ordered and fingers crossed. Im pretty sure im going to enjoy slinking and sluething around in the dark part of what really sold it for me is people describing it as slow paced and atmospheric rather that fast and action packed
Trailer looked cool, here's hoping the game lives up to all the hype.
@RoyalGuard Here’s about an hour’s worth of beta gameplay from the beginning of the game, if it’s of any help.

@jacobia thank you!
@RoyalGuard You’re welcome, let me know what you think! Normally, I wouldn’t watch something like this because of spoilers, but my takeaway is that the atmosphere and story intrigue appear to be top notch, but the character animations look a bit janky plus some of the character models appear to be repeated. I’m sure at least 2 or 3 characters that were stood in a group together all looked the same. The audio ambience seemed a bit lacking too. BUT, I am still super excited for this game and will definitely be buying it.
@jacobia will do. I'm gonna watch it when I settle down a bit. I'm a big time horror game fan and this may scratch that itch.
Does anyone know if we are able to preload cot???
