The current hotness, Battle Royale, is thriving thanks to games such as Fortnite and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and it seems its reach now includes Bethesda's first online multiplayer game, Fallout 76. In a new post on the game's official website (which goes into detail about PvP options), a variation on the exceedingly popular mode exists in the nuclear wastes of Virginia.
It's called Hunter/Hunted, and after tuning your Pipboy radio to the appropriate station, you'll be placed in a lobby until at least four players are in. Instead of one giant free-for-all, each player in the queue will be assigned another to take down in a large arena that shrinks over time. Once you kill your assigned player, you'll receive the target they were pursuing, and so on until only one person remains. Participants are rewarded with Caps and XP, depending on how many kills you performed during the match.
So it isn't a copy paste version of the mode popularised by PUBG and Fortnite, but there's definitely a lot of shared DNA. It sounds like the player count will be much smaller too, so it could end up being a pretty intense mode if you're after some PvP thrills.
What do you make of Hunter/Hunted mode in Fallout 76? Hunt down your thoughts in the comments below.

This actually sounds pretty neat it's good developers are putting in there own twists with these battle royal modes
I'm not surprised Bethesda included battle royale into 76.
It is the big, hot thing right now in online games.
Looks like Battle Royale is here to stay. It'd be interesting to see how many other games includes this mode in 2019.
Its a good twist on the usual format looking forward to experiencing it.
