Dreams has a short single player campaign which is designed to showcase what's possible, and in this new Game Informer gameplay video, co-founder Mark Healy shows a playthrough of the stage (which is great – we played it a couple of weeks ago) and then switches to edit mode to prove that it was all made in-game.
The amount of features and functions are just flabbergasting; at one point Healy adds an 8-bit filter, and it all just… Works – without any loading. We’ll let you watch the video for yourselves but… Crikey! This is insane.

I wonder if Dreams was made in Dreams?
Madness! Once they do in-depth, it looks quite daunting; nevertheless it's cool to see how it's all done behind the screens.
How short are we thinking story mode is then?
@Rob_230 They said about 2-3 hours if you're rushing it, but maybe a bit longer if you go after all the secrets. It's not big, but it's just meant as a short introduction to all the mechanics.
@Rob_230 They reckon about 3 hours though they have hinted that they might add to it whether it's before release or after I'm not sure.
It looks way too complex for any kind of person to create a level

If it's taken 5 years to make 3 hours worth of content...I mean, I'll give this a go, but I will probably tinker around with it, become extremely confused and quit, leaving it on my dashboard to remind me of my failures.

I pretty disappointed with the story length being what commenters are saying is three hours. I expected at least 6.
I think you all miss the fact that there's going to be "limitless" content once people start creating stuff. Like, that's the whole point. You could blitz through the LittleBigPlanet games in an afternoon as well, but that wasn't really the point.

Why is everyone complaining about the story length?? It is obviously not the point of the game (referring to the story). Why would a game take 5+ years to make for a 3 hour campaign. This game (tempted to call it a device or app at this point) goes well beyond a story mode.
"Create your own damn story mode" should be the slogan for Dreams
@adf86 Which is my point precisely this game it's not for casual players just look at that menu, and sure anyone can create something but it's probably gonna be just a mess if you have zero knowledge of how games works or creativity if this was 2d maybe but even on LBP it was hard to make something decent now this is going to 3D which is harder and most people buy games to play the game not to create one it's like paying for a tool to create your own game, but we'll see what happens to this game
That's a little disappointing, I like lbp and tearaway 7+ hour campaign, 3 hours is little short. I hope there's other stuff in single player portion of the game, like maybe short fps or kart racing or something.
Other people's creation will be huge though, I think dreams will launch with content from the top lbp creator.
@GKO900 But I think most people will be buying for the creation tool so hopefully a lot of content will be made
