It's been quite some time since we heard even a whisper about the PlayStation 4 remaster of MediEvil, but it sounds like some fresh information is finally heading our way in the near future. On the latest PlayStation Blogcast, host Sid Shuman hints that news is coming within the next couple of weeks.
"I have it on excellent authority that one Shawn Layden is going to be stopping back on this show in the next week or two," he says. "He's very excited to give everybody a big update on MediEvil."
Of course, PlayStation boss Layden was the one who unveiled plans for MediEvil on PS4 at the PlayStation Experience last year. With Halloween coming up, we suppose it's a good time to revisit Sir Dan. Here's hoping that we get some concrete details.

Cool, just in time for Halloween. Makes sense.
Why was this already announced again?
I have my copy on psp,but I want remaster soon.It is cool game
Hopefully we'll get confirmation on what this Remaster actually is, is it a port of the psp game or a Crash Bandicoot style remake.
it's probably just a bare bones (no pun intended, i swear) remaster of medievil resurrection (psp), which was itself a remaster of the original medievil. it was not universally praised, so hopefully they went back and updated a few things to enhance what was there. nothing to get too excited about, unless it is a brand new entry which seems unlikely as we would have heard more by now if it was.
I hope this remaster/remake is like crash/spyro rather than just upgraded texture like parappa.
I am very excited for this! I have never played the original.
I still have my copies of the PSX games but definitely would be interested in this.
Ah, news about news. How exciting.
I never played this game so don't even know what kind it is or what to expect.
PSP emulation incoming
yes yes.i miss sir daniel fortesque.hall of heroes. lala la lala.haha.word up son
@Jaz007 To let fans know they were doing it? I never really understand the complaints about announcing stuff, but seems it's just me.
I loved this game back in the day, but I watched some gameplay...doesn't look as though it has aged well, hopefully it's a good remaster.
I never played it, a big reason why I'm really excited.
@PS_Nation one of the best ps1 games ever.sir daniel fortesque was the best.la la la.haha.word up son
@get2sammyb True but to announce something with nothing to show, then not showing anything for a year is unnecessary. Even moreso if the game itself isn't coming out for a while.
@PS_Nation Same here I've never played the series before.
@get2sammyb I just hope we don't have to wait till NEXT Halloween to play D:
@get2sammyb It’s what makes it seem like a game takes too long. It’s also better for hype to have an accoucement with something to show. It just takes away front the magic of events like E3 and such overall.
As long as it's got Tom Baker doing the narration again..!
