Here’s a little known PlayStation secret: Sony has hosted an awards ceremony for its third-party partners since 1995 in Japan. Aptly named the PlayStation Awards, the event is designed to honour titles that sell well on its various systems, with this year’s show scheduled for 3rd December in Tokyo. It’ll be streamed on YouTube if you want to watch along.
While titles are typically honoured based on their total number of sales, recent ceremonies have also incorporated User Choice awards, with voting for the 2018 edition open through here. The best indies and PlayStation VR releases will also be celebrated, while there’ll be awards for the top selling PlayStation Network downloads as well.

Geez is this best sellers thing gonna be predictable as heck?
@Derpie1 Well it's Japan, so it'll be Dragon Quest etc I assume.
@get2sammyb prob MHW.
I would vote but I don't think I can't come up with a winning comment.
@get2sammyb Dragon Quest XI won the platinum in 2017.

I'd be shocked if MHW doesn't win.
@WanderingBullet it’s the only game that managed to give the PS4 a boost for weeks
The next game that’ll do that is Kingdom Hearts 3...
@Derpie1 Yeah, I noticed a Japanese players on having one game (Monster Hunter World) on their PS4.
@WanderingBullet well yeah MH is a phenomenon in Japan. And MH can always be a PS4 and even a PS5 key to getting the Japanese to buy Sony’s System
Hey is anyone else having any trouble voting? I clicked on the link and it sends me to the page and then a pop-up screen appears saying I cannot vote and that its limited to Japanese users? I would appreciate any help with this issue?
