Bandai Namco has released a lengthy new Twin Mirror trailer, outlining the basic gameplay loop for its upcoming psychological crime thriller. Essentially you’ll play as an investigative journalist named Sam, who returns to Basswood for the funeral of a friend. When he discovers a bloody shirt in his hotel room, he must use his ‘Mind Palace’ to uncover exactly what’s going on.
While we’re not overly keen on the sci-fi element, we do like detective games, and it seems like developer DONTNOD has an interesting way of getting you to solve crime scenes. The first episode is due out next year, and there’s definitely a sniff of Fahrenheit to what’s been shown so far, isn’t there? Are you following this one at all?

I do really like psychological thrillers, so I'm interested.
Twin Peaks Black Mirror. And do cars driving by really cause "For Sale" signs to sway?
Nice to see another story-driven game. This looks interesting.
@lacerz not to mention the puddles ...
This looks great. I'm amazed at how good games look lately. I think playing through the Shenmue games recently (something I thoroughly enjoyed btw) has reset my expectations somewhat. Everything just seems a step up of late.
I'm into it. Wish it wasn't episodic though.
Not happy about it being episodic. I'm going to hold off for the inevitable physical release...
@3MonthBeef What's wrong with the voice acting? I like it...
@jFug @Kai_ Same here, will be waiting for the complete release to go on sale during a big flash sale few years down the road.
Anybody notice the bad lip syncing and lip movement? no? just me?
