Hotly anticipated PlayStation VR rhythm game Beat Saber will cut to the chase from 20th November, the aptly named Beat Games has announced. For those of you who don’t know, the title sees you wielding two PlayStation Move controllers as lightsabers, chopping through coloured blocks to the sound of thumping tunes – or choons, if you’re one of the lads.
There’ll be exclusive new content in this PlayStation 4 edition, including a campaign, gameplay modifiers, all-new sabers, and a practice mode. Perhaps most importantly of all, there’ll also be five exclusive songs “coming straight from excellent electronic dance music artists and talents from around the world”.
The developer’s also committing to regular content updates, with the first Expansion Pack coming soon after release, and featuring 10 new songs. There’s no word on a price just yet, but this should round out what has turned out to be an excellent year for PSVR. Will you be snapping this up for some holiday fun? Day one.
Been waiting for a game like this. Audio Beats was kinda fun but only for a few minutes. Especially given the fact that the devs didn't bother to support the game. Hopefully, Beat Saber might be the one to satisfy my "rhytm arcade action" needs.
Finally! I have been anxiously waiting for this game to get a release date. I am not the best at rhythm games, but this one just looks like a lot of fun.
Yyyayyy, not long to wait either!! So excited!
Day one for me too!
Games like this is where VR really shines.
Never been all that great at rhythm games but I played this at EGX and absolutely loved it. Was actually pretty good at it too, even if I do say so myself.
Will be a day one purchase for me, definitely
Whenever I get VR, this is one of the first games I'll buy!
Not sure when, but will definitely get this.
