Monster Hunter: World is approaching its first birthday on PlayStation 4, and we must admit that the game's enjoyed a good run of free content courtesy of Capcom. Next on the agenda is The Winter Star Fest (read: the game's Winter festival), and it's due to begin on the 30th November. It's set to last until the 17th December.
As with other seasonal festivals, The Winter Star Fest will see the gathering hub redecorated, and previous event quests will be made available. You can also expect suitable handler and poogie outfits, limited bounties, and a new seasonal armour set. It all looks so cosy.
Will you be taking part in these snowy festivities? Wrap yourself up in the comments section below.

Maybe I should jump back in to this. Such a great game.
So it ends before the holidays? That's weird!
@Octane some are speculating they’ll finally announce & release Oroshi Kirin (Ice ver Of Kirin)
@Octane That's what I was thinking. Surely you'd want some kind of event over Christmas...?
Still reminds me of Home on PS3, which I kinda miss around the holidays.
FYI - game is on sale on US PSN for $30.
Looking beautiful as always and they probably bring it back for Christmas like they did on Halloween
Man, I would happily dish out 40€ for a new expansion with a new zone and 6-8 new monsters.
@Athrum many others has as well but Currently Capcom is busy getting the PC ver to where PS4/Xbox One ver are. They’re close they just need some Events, Luna Which is Soon, and Behemoth then Capcom can come in w the mons from that leaked list and either announce other stuff or something else
AT Xeno'jiiva is currently available and it's tough!
@rjejr i saw that, think ill finally pick it up.
@ellsworth004 I want to like Monster Hunter, but as dumbed down as this version is supposed to be it's still to much monster hunter for me. I'm nto even sure I'd play it on PS+.
@rjejr after further thought, ill probably not get it, im really not big into mp games, i know it can be played sp, but im guessing some of the monsters can only be killed with groups. In my old age ive got where i only like sp games, exceptions being bloodborne and dark souls, but they are their own thing.
@ellsworth004 The fact that you can play games like Bloodbourne and Dark Souls in your "old age" is impressive. I was happy to just make it through World 1 in Runner 3. World 2 is giving me a problem already. Might be time for easy mode. And DQXI post game is kicking my butt as well, went from one of the easier JRPG I've ever played to one of the hardest just by rolling he credits. Which is probably as it should be, just taking me awhile to get into the swing of things.
@rjejr u calling me old?!?!?! Haha jk, im only 41 but ive found that i would rather play harder games, BB, DS, and alot of indie games appeal to me. I guess alot of these indies remind me of gamed i played "back in the day". Hollow Knight may be my favorite ps4 release of 2018.
@ellsworth004 I didn't call you old, I was just repeating back to you what you said to me, that's why I put it in quotes. 😊
"In my old age ive got where i only like sp games, "
Guess that's what happens when I take 24 hours to reply, people forget what they wrote. Or maybe it's just your old age. 🤣
So just how hard is Hollow Knight? My kid is into torturing himself like that just to see if he can. Guess when you're a teenager you need to constantly prove yourself. He was a fan of Cuphead and said Shovel Knight was kinda easy.
@rjejr hollow knight is a hard but fair kind of game. And its a very good game especially for the price. I would actually say its as good as sotn, when it comes to metroidvanias.
@ellsworth004 Thanks, I added it to my kids list. It does look good, I was expecting more pixels and I hate those, but too hard for me, I'm waiting on Yoshi and zen mode.
