You'll be able to get a taste of Devil May Cry 5 on PlayStation 4 next month, Capcom has confirmed. A demo for the game was released on Xbox One last year, but thanks to the title's marketing deal with the Green Team, the demo remained exclusive to Microsoft's console.
However, this second demo, due to launch on the 7th February, will leave its mark on Sony's system. Capcom describes it as a "new" demo, so we imagine that it'll differ from the aforementioned Xbox exclusive.

I'll definitely give it a go.
what? cool, a bit late though.
This is great news.Ever since I finished Bayanetta 2 on the Switch i was planning on buying the Devil May Cry Hd collection just to see what all the fuss is about but still not got round to it yet. This demo may or may not encourage me..
@huyi Just like all those games and pieces of content that come to everyone except PS4 "A bit late".
This is the nature of the industry. The two systems cant diverge on specs as much to offer the definitive versions of first party games, at least on the base systems, so they resort to paying the publishers bills in exchange for exclusive content to pull people in instead.
@Knuckles-Fajita it all comes down to money at the end of it all but I'm glad it's here finally.
@Wazeddie22 - I wouldn't use this demo as a gauge for the HD Collection, they are very different games compared to DMC5.
if RE 2 Remake demo coming out after full game coming out first is pretty dumb. i expect Capcom announce good news for RE 2 Remake demo coming out on xbox one and PS4 on same day is 11th
Cool. Have DMC5 on my list. Always good to get a demo before dropping full price on a game.
If out before the game comes out (or soon after) demo serve their purpose.
maybe now people will stop moaning on EVERY Devil May Cry social media post
I’m trying it out for sure.
It's kind of funny watching Microsoft buy up all these marketing deals for game that inevitably sell way better on their competitor's system.
FYI this NEW demo also comes to Xbox on the 7th Feb also.
@RustyBullet true but this is a PlayStation site so there is no real need for them to say that on here
i'm just wondering how different it will be to the XB exclusive demo
I’ve never played one of these before...not sure if I should give it a try. Nier:Automata made me want to try more games with faster combat
Lol exclusive demo's. Such a bat crazy idea for both publishers and platform holders.
@FullbringIchigo of you read the article you would know why I said it.
@RustyBullet yeah the article doesn't mention it coming on XB1 but like i said this is a PS site so they wont and don't need to say it's also on XB1
No, they mention it as if it is something new for PS4 only. I get to try it on both systems so any way it didn't bother me. I will just pay where it runs best.
I hope it has a much better checkpoint system than the Xbox demo.
n.i.c.e. definitely checking the demo out.word up son
@Shigurui Surely they are pretty much the same apart from graphics and I imagine better controls and fighting mechanics for the newer one..
@Wazeddie22 - No mate they are nothing like, DMC 1 to 4 are fixed camera angle games, exactly like the original Resident Evil games.
While basic combat inputs are largely the same across the series they play very differently than DMC5 and Ninja Theory's DmC game.
@RustyBullet i already pre-ordered it on XB1 because for some reason we STILL can't pre-order the physical PS4 edition in the UK on Amazon
@Shigurui Ah ok,I didant realize.Well either way DMC 5 trailer looks awesome so will definitely be d/l the demo.
@Wazeddie22 - Hopefully I didn't put you off the HD Collection, DMC 1,3&4 are great games that are definitely worth playing (2 is a bit crap). I just wanted to point out that they are very different beasts to the upcoming game and you're right, DMC5 does look awesome!
@Shigurui Don't worry about that,I've been interested in the collection for ages..long before I saw the trailer for the new one.
