The first phase of the European PlayStation Store’s absolutely gigantic January sale will wrap up on 4th January, meaning this may be your last opportunity to save on big games. While some of the discounts – like FIFA 19 – are still set to run another week, may we recommend you double-check when the offers for titles you’re interested in expire.
The good news – or bad news, depending on how you look at things – is that a new round of savings will be added later this week, so we hope that you haven’t spent all of your Xmas money yet.

I'd love to buy the Persona 5 complete edition but Christmas has ruined my bank balance.
I got a lot of credit for Christmas and already had some in the wallet. I added one code, but when I tried adding the second, it told me that the wallet limit would be exceeded.
I've been through everything in the sale to try to spend some so that I can get the other code entered, but there's nothing at all that I want. Hopefully the refresh will change that.
@Mathuselahr you have a picture of mr burns and you say your balance is destroyed or maybe someone is too frugal
@MonkeyDLuffy19 that's not Mr Burns. Mr Burns doesn't have a moustache.
"a new round of savings will be added later this week"
Don't you mean "a new round of spending"?
@RogerRoger "Smithers, give this man one Ibuprofen, uncoated, and send him back to his workstation!"
my wallet funds are locked and loaded.
first sale burned me out, phew!
I've held off on getting anything from the PS Online Store so far. It makes sense to wait until until 4th Jan tomorrow when the remaining savings will appear.
I'd like to see The Last Guardian, Nioh and Gravity Rush 1&2 join in on the sales. The currently available offers most tempting for me right now are Shenmue 1&2, Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth, and God of War.
Are you sure it ends on the 4th - the games I've looked at in the sale state prices are valid up to 18th January?
Anyone recommend/not recommend the following before I splurge:
PS4 - Yakuza Kiwami, Valkyria Chronicles Remastered, Detention & Life is Strange: Before the Storm
PS3 - Beyond Good & Evil HD & Saints Row IV
@Strathnaver1
Exactly most I've looked at end the 18th, don't were push square have gotten the 4th from, even if some are set to.run another week that's no.were near the 18th!
@suikoden I'm confused by it also, even on psn it says last deals on the 4th, not sure if current deals will end on that day and new ones will be replaced.
@huyi
Think the confusing has come from new rounds coming as I'm sure when the January sale launched was no.mention of rounds , it was just a sale
@Strathnaver1 Wait yakuza kiwami was free in Novembers ps plus but if you don't have it yakuza is a great game but I would start with yakuza zero the prequel. If you enjoyed life is strange the original game you should enjoy before the storm as it really compliments it but in before the storm you have no special powers so it's like walking dead without the zombies. Before the storm is a prequel but I would recommend life is strange first. Valkyria chronicles was praised in the day but don't let the art style fall you its a strategy game through and through. If you end up getting it you can also try out Valkyria 4 have not played it yet but it should be a separate story but set in the same world. Don't know about detention. Beyond good and evil is a solid platformerish type game with a more mature undertone. Fans have waited years for a sequel and the sequel seems a bit too left field.atm. Not sure about sts row 4 from what I understand it's zany and gta for people on acid. Hope that helps
@suikoden i agree, i think they have maybe changed things as they see fit, originally it was games that will be added on the 4th but the current games remain, now games are still coming on the 4th but the previous games will be replaced it seems.
MLB 18 such a great game even if your not initially a fan of the sport - this is one amazing oft overlooked PS4 exclusive that doesn’t get enough hype ! I’m already excited for 19
@MonkeyDLuffy19
Thanks for the advice Monkey - I don't have PS Plus, but thought Kiwami was the original Yakuza, so yeah I definitely don't want to start off with that one then (LoL).
The original Life is Strange didn't really appeal to me with its time bending gameplay, but if the follow up is more a straightforward Telltale type game then sounds right up my alley.
Did look at Valkyria 4 too as it's also in the sale (although more expensive as it's a newer game), might pick up Chronicles Remastered though & if I really like it then I can pick up 4 later on as you say.
Had heard good things about the original Beyond Good & Evil and it's only about £3 in the sale (same with Saints Row 4) so think they're probably worth a punt at that price to add to my PS3 collection.
