One of last year's best loved indies is Celeste, a great 2D platformer from the makers of TowerFall Ascension. Aside from the sweet narrative, the game is recognised for its simple but well executed gameplay, providing a surprisingly stern challenge in later levels. With plenty of content to conquer in the base game, there's lots of death-defying jumps to be made already, but the developer has assured that DLC is on the way.

This DLC chapter will miss the first anniversary of the game, but it will feature the hardest levels yet, says creator Matt Thorson. While there won't be any collectable strawberries, some "new items/mechanics" will be included to change things up. Best of all, the new content will be made available for free once it arrives.
Will you be climbing back up Mount Celeste to try the DLC? Don't forget your coat in the comments below.

Oooh nice one.
Bring it to the Vita.
You Cowards!
@Enuo That'd be cool, but I'm not sure how it'd work out with vita controls. You really need a good joystick to aim your dashes. Even the Switch's joycons felt imperfect to me.
Just finished the game last night. Well there's another chapter but I need to collect 4 hearts to do it and I don't really want to attempt that. I died over 3,000 times with 900 of those being in chapter 7. Still fun though! Only got super frustrated a couple of times.
I played Celeste in one sitting a couple of days ago and it really was brilliant. That old-timey minigame was pretty good too. Only 600-odd deaths in the main game thanks to me completing Ninja Gaiden last week lol.
