We’ve had two action platformers and a strategy title, so we suppose it’s time for the alarmingly versatile SteamWorld series to try its hand at a turn-based role-playing game. Due out first on Nintendo Switch, with other platforms to follow at a later date, SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech will see you leading a “party of aspiring heroes through a beautifully hand-drawn world and intense battles using only your wits and a handful of cards”.
From the trailer embedded above, the title appears to be a mixture of Final Fantasy and a collectible card game, which ain’t a bad combination at all. “What awaits you is a luscious treasure chest filled with gold, dragons, vivid worlds, magic, knights in shining armor as well as XP, turn-based battles, and all that good RPG stuff,” the blurb reads. “The game’s humorous mix of traditional fantasy and steampunk robots makes for an unforgettable experience with lots of laughs.”

It's like Bizzarro World on Pushsquare today. Shogun must be beside himself with "Nintnedo Switch" popping up everywhere on his PLAYSTATION WEBSITE. 🤣
Can’t freaking wait, this was the only thing I was hoping to see from that presentation today. Anyone who hasn’t played a game from this series needs to play it now, they’re all on PlayStation (except the first ever one which is chained to DSi)
I liked the first SteamWorld Dig well enough. Never got around to the sequel, didn't like the look of Heist, and this isn't doing anything for me, either.
