We’ve been waxing lyrical about Dreams for weeks behind-the-scenes, but Media Molecule finally allowed us to share our first impressions on the title this week. The bottom line: it’s quite possibly the most impressive PlayStation 4 exclusive to date. But don’t just take our word for it, have a look on Twitter at what people have been making.
One project that’s been blowing our mind is Project Zero, a “cinematic first-person shooter with momentum filled gameplay”. It’s in production by a team calling itself DISARMED, which has already published some spectacular stuff in the Dreams beta. While this is a concept at this point, may we remind you that this is being built on a PS4 with a DualShock 4.
Impressed yet?

Are you kidding me?
Gives me Killzone vibes. I have a feeling Dreams is going to give us some future masterpieces.
I can't wait to see it in motion. It is made by DISARMED and the guy behind Prometheus.
I hope it comes out soon.
Wow I thought it was a full game (not in Dreams)
Honestly will probably get this and only play with other people's creations lol
I see People keep downplaying and trashing both deams and days gone saying both are the weakest links out of the remaining upcoming ps4 exclusives which make me angry because both look like great games.
@optic_efun11 Yup, same here lol
WOWZERS that game looks like a AAA budget blockbuster! Kudos to the team that made this gem on Dreams!
Im going to make classic episodes of the twilight zone, and gremlins movie from 1984.
If Sony and Media Molecule were smart they would hire some of these people
At this rate we could be looking at a separate GOTY poll, purely for games created within Dreams
@optic_efun11 same here. I don’t have the time/patience/inclination to create stuff myself.
Dreams will have more games than some platforms out there.
Seriously, that’s really impressive.
No way was this made in Dreams. This is insane!
It really makes me wonder if it's possible for MM and Sony to let players sell their created games from Dreams.
@optic_efun11 You're not the only one XD
Sony really needs to hire these talented Dreams experts so that maybe they could build new f(small) first party studios, especially when Quantic Dream already broke ties with Sony's exclusive partnership. But hey, that's just me.
I … I … how … ?
How the f?
What the actual f?
How can such a game exist? Can it … can it do … fighting games? Role playing games?
Looks like alien game, it's amazing what dreams can do (basically everythings). I hope sony ask their 1st party studio to make small 1-2 hours games on dreams, it will be fun to see
This is incredible, and it's only been a month maximum that it's been in people's hands. What's going to happen when the game has been out for a year?! I even game across a studio on Twitter that plans to make new Infamous and PS AllStar games in it.
Also by the same folks...

Dude this game seems to good to be true
@Gmork___ This video shows a lot of visual artefacts/issues with lighting and the like - dots on the edge of bars and stuff. The stills are more impressive tbh....
.... still i’m Being picky given that this is created on a PS4
Now I'm expecting a fully fledged RPG to be made in Dreams similar to Final Fantasy when the full game is released.
@optic_efun11 Same here i tried the beta and i suck at it. 😃
It baffles me a bit that they're releasing this as a ps4 exclusive "game" instead of as a standalone game engine or game design platform. It's super impressive and looks like such a powerful tool.
This is what will get me into indie games. If anyone needs me, I'll be in VR 👍
I'm slightly impressed but what I want to see is what people can do with psvr, it's a shame it wasn't avaliable during the beta.
@RangerTwin usually all the rights go to the devs who make the engine when it comes to things like these, why do you think they make you agree with the small print when you start the game? so you can't make profit from the creations.
@huyi Nope Unreal Engine take a 5% royalty on gross product revenue after the first $3,000 per game per calendar quarter from commercial products. The same can be done with dreams if they want to, they already have been a record that they could introduce this down the line.
I'm thinking about doing a Mass Effect remake myself
@Areus Mm have done in the past from there past games and probably will from this too
@RogerRoger Maybe if you make a good enough of a project one of the developer teams will see it and hire you for your potential. Keep dreaming big!
And to think, hundreds of millions of dollars have been spent on Star Citizen, and they haven't even produced a beta version of the FPS portion of it.
I was really hoping someone had made a new Project Zero in Dreams for a minute there. This does look very impressive though!
This looks amazing!
Wonder how the market will react to a game that can contain any number of games within it for the original price...I'm sure they'll have to monetize it somehow, it does all seem too good to be true. Nonetheless, this is absolutely amazing work and the tool itself shows great promise.
I'm tellin' ya, this game WILL be used as a recruitment tool, too. Gonna be a lot of talent discovered in here.
