Square Enix and Tokyo RPG Factory has announced the latest in its line of throwback role-playing game experiences, with the colourful Oninaki. Due out this summer on the PlayStation 4, the release will see you assume the role of a Watcher called Kagachi who must destroy the bonds that tie the Lost to the—oh, who the heck writes this absolute drivel?
It looks pretty enough, and like something you’d expect to find in Wilkos for the PlayStation 2, which is effectively the developer’s mandate. There’s a trailer embedded above, but you can also learn more about the game via its official website.

My heart skipped a beat there, thought it said Okami.
This is very pretty, despite the clearly lower budget involved.
No interest in I Am Setsuna or Lost Sphear, but I'm cautiously optimistic about this one.
I like the art style and gameplay, even if its a low budget game I'm willing to give it a try if they release it for a decent price
More my style of gameplay so I'm interested in this one.
@Ralizah Playing I am Setsuna convinced me NOT to buy lost sphere. An action RPG could be fun though.
Strong Ys vibes with this, which is no bad thing. Combat looks a little sluggish, though.
This looks really rather good, definitely a step up from Setsuna and Lost Sphear (though they were decent for sure). Will probably get the Switch version though.
Could Square Enix please release this retail.
@Rhaoulos Playing Lost Sphear's demo convinced me not to buy it. I practically fell asleep while playing.
@Ralizah OK, this is really bad for a demo. I didn't play the demo. I might get a Chrono Trigger vibe, end up buying the game then regret it.
Looking good I’ll probably get this.
I enjoyed Setsuna but not Lost Sphear so a change in style seems appropriate.
