Respawn's free-to-play battle royale shooter Apex Legends arrived all of a sudden this time last month, and it's only gone from strength to strength in the few weeks it's been available. After attracting 25 million players in just its first week, the game now boasts double that amount in its first month.

CEO of Respawn Entertainment, Vince Zampella, shared his gratitude with the game's 50 million strong player base via a video that leans into user clips and stats:

Players have performed 158 million finishing moves, 1.23 billion ultimates, and 31 billion pings -- the in-game communication system.
