I'm looking forward to starting it up, but the the revisionist attitude of pretending the reboot never happened really rubs me the wrong way.
Capcom, you wanted DmC. Don't throw Ninja Theory under the bus for doing their job. They sold their soul to Microsoft, they're suffering enough as it is.

@Enuo i don't think they threw them under a bus, one of the reasons for DMC4 and DmC being ported to the current systems was to gauge what the fans wanted, whether they wanted a DMC5 or a DmC2 and apparently DMC4 sold loads more than DmC, the fans told them they wanted DMC5 so that's what they gave us

also you say ignoring the reboot is "revisionist attitude" but isn't a reboot itself the same thing it's ignoring the original and pretending it didn't exist

I hadn’t really planned on it until I read the review. Now I’m torn, given the high praise. When the price drops I might bite.

Picked up my pre-ordered copy not too long ago. Once the update is installed I'll begin playing.

Getting this in a week or so when I get paid and I can't wait, really looking forward to this after the sublime Resident Evil 2. Capcom is on fire at the moment

Never had an interest in this franchise, can't find anything interesting about it.

I've never played DMC before, but a read-through of @ShogunRok's review the other day surely made it get on my must-get-soon radar in a hurry.

No thanks, I don't buy incomplete games for $60 bucks. I wait for complete editions for a 1/3 of the price.

I loved the demo but until I have bought and played through the others at some point it will be a while before I get round to buying the new one.

Had the game PO'd for a long time. I really enjoy the series.

Just picked up my steel tin version. Looking forward to playing it tonight after avoiding everything about it. Not even seen a single video.

Awesome game, bought purely off of @ShogunRok positive review. Hopefully get time to play once the wife and niece are bedded.

I'm glad they knocked it out of the park with this one, I'll definitely pick it up down the line at some point. Too many backlog games to play right now though, if I pick this up now it'll never get finished.

Waiting for the tax return to come back! Have quite a few games to add to my collection on PS4...possibly with maybe adding one to the Switch so it stops collecting dust. Too many games coming out, too little time.

Haven't bought it yet, but it's on my wishlist. There's a lot of games I would like to play, both in my backlog as well as other games I'd like to buy, so it will be a while before I think about buying DMC 5.

@huyi in actual fact it didn't at all. I loved the first devil may cry on ps1 and didn't mind 4 but didn't really like DMC so hadn't planned to get this and showed no interest to read or look at anything. Scrolled through the review and see the "9" and my mind instantly changed 😂

@huyi it's the worst, man. I never thought I'd be so frustrated at having a 9-5 after the entirety of my teenage/early adult years were spent with retail and erratic schedules. haha

One of the best videogame series ever created in my opinion, so you can bet your backside I've had it preordered since it was even possible.

I've been borrowing games from my library lately, so I'm going to give it a few months to see if they get in a copy. I think a week would be enough for this.

I did play the demo and I am looking forward to it. I might have purchased it if Amazon was stilling doing the Prime 20% discount, but paying $60 rather than $48 has turned me off Day 1 purchases. Well that and GoW was $20 within about 6 months. If my library doesn't get it in, Black Friday sale most likely.

Played the demo last month and decided I was definitely absolutely getting it, but will probably wait till summer or autumn to buy as I've still got several big games from 2-4yrs ago in my backlog of shame as well as a load of indies and I wanna get those all done by the time PS5 comes out (presumably) next year. Looking forward to eventually playing it though!

Only ever played the original. Didn't rate it.

I'm either going to pass or get on the cheap down the line. The series has never really been for me.

Yeah, got a deluxe edition and been playing it all day. It's everything I wanted from it so far.

The timely review convinced me to break my sacrosanct policy of never pre-ordering games.

Yep picked up 2 copies.

I'm about halfway through my first run on Devil Hunter and loved every minute so far. My only gripe is the new Lady character model is awful and nothing like the awesome DMC4 version of Lady as seen in my avatar.

Just completed it. Was awesome

Looking forward to getting it eventually once I have time. Only played the very first game, DMC4 and the rebooted DmC before, so there's a few gaps in my knowledge.
