Control, the latest game from Quantum Break developer Remedy, will have PlayStation 4 exclusive content. At launch, all copies of the release will include the Astral Dive Suit costume, a Rare Player Mod (used to upgrade in-game abilities), a Rare Service Weapon Mod (used to upgrade the protagonist’s main weapon), and two PS4 themes. These extra items will only be available to those who purchase the title on Sony’s system.
Moreover, the Digital Deluxe Edition, which is again exclusive to the PS4, will come with two bonus missions: Isolation and Urban Response Gear. This premium package will also come with access to the title’s Expansion Pass, which will include two add-on packs – both of which will release first on Sony’s console. All pre-orders, meanwhile, will come with the Tactical Response Gear costume and Crafting Resources Pack. There’s a new trailer embedded above.

This looks much more interesting than quantum break, hopefully it ends up being good.
wow that's a lot of content.
i wonder if sony ever came forward to make this a full on PS exclusive.
This is one of my most anticipated games for this year, along with Twin Mirror and Man of Medan!
@jdv95 It's also slated for PC and Xbox.
Gotta say, the game looks interesting. May as well have an eye out. Never got to play Quantum Break, or the old Max Payne, so I'm unfamiliar with Remedy.
@DerMeister i know that the game comes out on other platforms.
i was just wondering with how much ps4 exclusive content there is,if sony first wanted this to be an exclusive but the devs did want to so they settled for the above mentioned content instead.
Really looking forward to this one, bit of a dodgy release period but better than September usually is for smaller games I suppose.
@jdv95 Ah, my bad. Read your comment wrong.
Now that I think about it, "exclusive content" is a tip off that it's not an exclusive game. Don't I feel dumb.
@DerMeister don't worry about it
I really want this to be good
Exclusive content is always stupid, timed or not. It's stupid when Microsoft does it, it's stupid when Sony does it, and it's stupid when Nintendo does it.
There. I've said it. Now go hit that dislike button
@Octane No dislike from me. I agree 100%.
@Octane I couldn't care less. If exclusive content was important or meaningful, it wouldn't be exclusive.
I had never heard of this game before but I was sold the moment the girl lifted off. BTW, love Alan Wake, I hope Control has at least the same level of originality.
This pre order because of fomo on owning a complete game made me not want this or any other big budget game now. I'm no longer looking forward to this game.
@malbhet What are you saying?
@Octane All exclusive content? What about exclusive content that relates to the platform, say in a fighting game. Playstation gets a character from one of their games while Xbox gets one from theirs.
Unless its something major like a side mission that furthers the story I don't see any problem if it just different guns,powers or just a theme.
Timed exclusive games can backfire though, just as much as timed exclusive side missions which this does have, but it only really backfires if its on the weaker performing console like xbox was with Rise of Tomb Raider. Considering xbox fans don't support their games, I think Remedy will be fine.
This content is like Remedy saying: “Hey PS fans, long time no see. Yeah, since Max Payne 2 on PS2, but we’re back now. So we’re cool, rite?”
That trailer... did nothing for me. 🤔
@Flaming_Kaiser Fomo = fear of missing out.
Every single publisher is releasing games with content that becomes inaccessible unless you pre order, content like pre order quests that should be available to everyone who buy the game.
More companies are keeping content from those who aren't gullible enough to buy their game before it even releases to the public. It's so bad now that you can't even own the full game regardless of how much money you give these companies, if you don't pay for it before it releases you miss out, sad part is no one sees a problem with this.
No other industry does this but the gaming industry.
@malbhet I sold Overwatch because it became a job to get everything. 😁
But i have one platform so i wont be bothered with that. Its though to not get everything but thats live. Im more annoyed that i cant get any retail remaster releases for Square Enix thats why i did not any games of them for more then a year.
Thanks for the information and yeah i see what you mean. If people really collect stuff it can be addicting.
Missions should never be held out of any game. Ubisoft is King at those.
