Announced as a main game for Evo 2019, which takes place in August, we already knew that Samurai Shodown would have to launch a decent amount of time before the big event. The good news is that seems to be the case, as SNK has slapped a June release window on the upcoming PlayStation 4 instalment. This should give players at least one month to get stuck in before the tournament begins.
SNK has also confirmed that the title will feature a total of 16 playable characters at launch. 13 of them will be returning characters, and three of them will be totally new.

Certainly interested - if it does well, hopefully SNK will pay more attention to their other properties beyond re releases.
Definitely interested to see who the returning cast will be and how the new characters will look. But man, just basically a month to get ready for evo for this game.
Nice, the latest trailer has Shiki finally make the jump into an actual mainline game too.
I definitely interested in this game, I just hope the game has opening and ending story for each characters rather than 1 big 3-4 hours story mode like tekken 7/doa 6.
Edit: Just saw the new trailer, the game is looking good
Quick, someone post that Switch in the rain gif (Mostly so I can find it)
