Devil May Cry 5 is out now, delivering outstanding combat and controversy in equal measures. It’s the big new release of the week, but what are you playing? As always, you know the drill, so let’s do away with drawn out introductions and get to business.

I made a start on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered earlier in the week, and it's great to play through such an iconic campaign once again. I’ll be diving back into it this weekend, while also making plenty of time to check out a handful of smaller titles that may crop up in Indie Bin.

I’m going to be playing as much Devil May Cry 5 as I can this weekend. Apex Legends is sure to worm its way in at some point though, and with me being only a few levels off unlocking every trophy currently in the game, you can bet I’ll be grinding out experience during the evenings.

This weekend I’ll be slaying demons in Devil May Cry 5 and playing more of the new Destiny 2 content from Season of the Drifter – the new Gambit Prime mode is great!

I’ve been pulling my Devil Trigger in Devil May Cry 5, a game that’s totally enthralled me with it’s over the top action and brazen character line up. It’s a perfect balance of the nuances born of Ninja Theory’s reboot and traditional DMC trademarks. In between, I’ve managed to finally snag the Platinum for Dying Light. Despite the slog of a collectible round up, it was a rather enjoyable Platinum to procure.
That's a lot of Devil May Cry 5 this weekend! What are you playing this weekend? Hop into the comments section below and let us know.

Gonna be about Devil May Cry 5 for me.
Still playing through Kingdom Hearts 3.
I think I'm almost done with the game. If I do happen to finish it this weekend, then I too will start playing Devil May Cry 5.
Devil May Cry 5 all the way!!!
....MAYBE some Smash if my friend wants me to visit him. We were talking about it and he did just get out of the hospital.
Dunno, toss up between The Occupation, Shadow of the tomb raider and maybe Breath of the wild DLC.
Playing Transistor on PS4 and Persona 4 Dancing All Night on Vita. Also polishing up the platinum run of Virginia. And who knows what else might catch my fancy.
Going back to Deus Ex mankind Divided For the platinum Afterwards it The Bioshock Collection
STILL finishing up RDR2! Nearly there, 5 missions left 92% complete.
Finishing up with Smash Ultimate on the Switch (well, "finishing" in the sense of completing enough content in it to consider it beaten; I'm sure I'll continue to return to it for years).
I've been blessed with a free trial of PS Plus, so I'm going to make the most of it. The Witness looks quite good, so I'll give that a go. I'll also give Call of Duty Modern Warfare Remastered a quick try. Perhaps I'll even go wild and try out Fortnite and Apex Legends and see whether I'll dislike battle royale games as much as I expect to, or whether I'm being unfairly negative about them.
On top of all that, I'm still getting vaguely close to the ending of both Persona 5 and Xenoblade Chronicles. I've not played much of them in the last week, so I'll need to fix that this weekend.
PSVR: finished Moss, and then started Astrobot Rescue Mission. What a pair of thoroughly delightful, charming and fun games.
I completed Bioshock last weekend and have been playing through Bioshock 2 this week - I'm about 2/3rds of the way through I assume, just got to Fontaine Futuristics, so should finish that off this weekend
I've very much enjoyed the gameplay of Bioshock 2, but this game is not going to last well in my memory. It doesn't feel like a story they wanted to tell, like in the first game, but more of a cash grab. The fact that you know everything about rapture from the first game makes this one lack any sort of atmosphere or intrigue, and the audio diaries that were so great in the first game are just immensely boring in this one. It's a lot more fun to actually play than the first Bioshock because the shooting mechanics have been tightened up and the dreadful hacking minigame is gone, but apart from that it lacks any sort of passion or creativity behind it whatsoever
dot hack.g.u. last recode. a fun rpg.and really funny game.oink 🐷 oink.haha.word up son
Moseying around the Map post game RDR2...☹️
I am playing Hollow Knight on PS4 and BOTW on Switch. Yes, it is an excellent time to be a gamer!
rise of the tomb raider.
boy was i wrong to ever claim that the series was not that great before even playing them!
trust me the reboot series so far with the 2013 and rise game (yet to play shadow) has been fantastic. lot's of uncharted style moments for sure but i see that as a good thing.
as for the voice acting for lara and her character well i don't get why some people say she is rather bland. i realy like her. they can't be all nathan drake you know (and i love nathan drake). but so far she is just an awesome character that reacts realistic in the situations she is in and that is portrayed very good by camilla luddington.
sure the games are serious and not as lighthearted, but again this is not uncharted. it doesn't need to be as lighthearted.
so yeah loving the tomb raider reboot so far.
Anthem patch just went live and giving it a go. No more white and green drops for me.
Giving open world Horizon Zero Dawn a small break and have started on Wolfenstein 2. Really good single player game with a good story.
I'll be a broken record again this weekend and just repeat what I said last week.
1/ Valkyria Chronicles 4 on Switch
2/ Assassins Creed Origins on PS4 and
3/ Final Fantasy XII also on Ps4
And probably binge watching Ricky Gervais new show on Netflix AfterLife..hilarious!
Devil May Cry 5
that's it
Devil May Cry 5. It’s a great game so far.
Started back Child of Light on Vita last night. I'll keep playing that and doing side missions in Gravity Rush 2 this weekend
I'm back on Elite Dangerous and at long long last I've made Elite rank in trading. Now I can retire to somewhere at the edge of the galaxy. Or become a slave smuggler for the empire.
Devil May Cry 5: Censored Edition (thanks, Sony).
Still at with Dead or Alive 6. I plan on getting in some rank matches. Wish me luck. I’ll make time for Fist of the North Star and Tekken 7 as well.
DMC5 baby! Just about to finish my first run and I'll be jumping straight back into it. The game is jackpot!
Zelda breath of the wild , until Sekiro and mlb the show come out
Rise of the Tomb Raider!
@jdv95 Same!
On ps4, finally finished playing marvel spider-man. Man what a ride, I can't wait for the sequels, hopefully on ps5 . Replaying the game again hunting for the last trophy (for plat), I need to replay taskmaster challenge again for getting the coins for all the suits.
On pc, playing diablo 1. Gog and blizzard just released diablo 1 with win10 support, at $10 I definitely recommended it to anyone. I can't stop thinking and playing it, it's way way better than diablo 3 in story, music, and atmosphere.
Picked up Assassin's Creed Odyssey in a recent sale and it's excellent so far, about 12 hours in and absolutely loving it. The world is so vast and with plenty to do, great story and dialogue choices, the mercenaries system, sailing and much more plus Kassandra is fast becoming one of my favourite characters this generation. I can see myself playing this for quite some time but I will make a bit of time for Devil May Cry 5 when I pick it up soon
Decided to follow up Red Dead with Nioh. I'd say William moves roughly 900% faster than Arthur Morgan
If I get some time it will be wrapping up the plat on Lego Marvel Heros 2 and then might finally do the the Frozen North since I've seen a few people mention Horizon lately
Finished Anthem campaign yesterday so going to jump back and get on the Masterwork grind, also try out the two new strongholds too. I also finished Spyro recently so I’ve started Spyro 2. Really fun games to just chill out with
@Wazeddie22 VC4 and FFXII are both incredible games. You must be having a lot of fun.
Finally pulled my finger out and started decorating today so that’ll be in for the next few weekends. Hopefully a bit of KH3, though, at least. Gunna check out the latest sale too, kinda fancy Dead Cells.
Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry and some more Devil May Cry. This game is soooo damn good.
Still Kingdom Hearts three. Also swung by Tetris Effect to do the weekend challenges.
A little Apex whilst waiting impatiently for The Division 2 on Tuesday
I'll be jumping between Thronebreaker and The Evil Within 2.
@carlos82 AC Odyssey too. I found the spot where you can at least call home - tha ship. And you can rest and fastforward time, now I'm satisfied. I'm using Kass too but I found Alexios to be funnier and equally good I think. So far yes it's one of the best open worlds, and I'm really really really REALLY IMPRESSED with the combat. Every weapon and it's various animations. Witcher 3 needed this lol.
@Ralizah So far I'm over fifty hours into Valkyria Chronicles 4 and on Chapter 12.I played the original game on the Ps3 and then bought the Remastered version on the Ps4.I'm such a huge fan of the series Id love for them to remaster 2 and 3 for the Ps4 too..
Final Fantasy XII I bought but never finished on the PS2 all those years ago but the only thing I remembered about the game was spending all my time doing the hunts..which is great because it feels like a brand new FF as the story all seems to be new to me.The only thing I have struggled with is trying to decide what two classes each character should be!
So yeah..having loads of fun!lol
I was playing DMC5 but my nieces have hijacked my hands to paint my nails. The joy of being an uncle 🙄
@TheArt so you changed over after all, I've never used Alexios so can't really compare. Yeah the combat is great with plenty of options (I like boarding ships and Spartan kicking the captain off into the sea), certainly better than The Witcher 3 though I think that still has the edge when it comes to story but this does come surprisingly close. I've just completed chapter 2 due to my limited gaming time these days so should have this finished by the time the remaster comes out 😂
Really enjoying this though and everything it has to offer, which is a lot and Ubisofts talent really shines in this one
PS4: DMC5
NS: Tales of Vesperia
DiRT Rally 2.0, Trials Rising, Far Cry New Dawn, FIFA 19 and AC Odyssey (still!) 🙂
Football Manager 2019 on Switch, Toejam & Earl and Persona 5 on PS4 - good weekend
Just picked up World of Final Fantasy and its Maxima dlc in the FF sale, so might give that a go tomorrow as it's been on my personal list of shame for a while now! Been playing my old Trials Fusion game again today and its weird dlc (seriously, where's the unicorn emoji on my Fire, Amazon?! Not even a motorcycle one! 😉). It's difficult, but gonna wait a few months to play DMC5 I think.
@carlos82 Yea I changed after all because with huge games like this you can't tell when you'd make time for a second playthrough especially when you're eager to see how a character plays. With Sony constantly populating our harddrives with these tempting sales, it's hard to make time for your most favourite games.
Gone are the days a few games were great, you could play them over and over again but now it's like 90% of games are great nowadays. There are hardly any bad games. I mean I like Apex Legends but I can't even make time to play it, it's just sitting there on the HDD. The games keep piling up, it's getting crazy.
Im still going on kingdom hearts, I'm level 90 already 😂 I really want to platinum this game, I haven't beaten it yet, I'm on the last world, but I'm going through all the trophies I can get before finishing the game. When I'm done I have bought red dead 2 , super excited to play that game too 🥳
Thought I'll try out the witness, it didn't go well. It has now been deleted from my ps4 and my memory. Stupid mountain challenge puzzles of crapiness. I now have a extreme level of displeasure for record players.
On a brighter note, finally playing Wolfenstein 2 yeahhhhhhhh 😀
Finishing up the last Dark Souls Remastered trophies (finally!) whilst DMC5 and the new ps+ games are downloading.
I'm gonna try and squeeze in some Hollow Knight, but I probably won't. I worked 12 hours today and will be working 12 tomorrow. Heck, next week I'm working 80 hours, so I may not even play anything for the next ten days.
I've got some games that I'm reviewing, so I'll be focusing on those. Other than that, Tetris 99...
I need help I have an addiction to RE2!
Still playing the glorious RE2 Remake. I can't put it down it's just that good! I even have Ace Combat 7 unopened really need to out down RE2 and play something AC7 but it's just fun speedruning it.
Yakuza Kiwami 2. My copy of Devil May Cry 5 is coming next week only.
Something slow-paced and immersive on the PS4: theHunter: Call of the Wild, and Hunting Simulator. Two excellent chill-out games. I have zero experience of hunting in real-life, but thoroughly enjoy the gameplay in games like this. On PC, some Pure Farming 2018 and Bus Simulator 18. So only sims this weekend.
@TheArt I know what you mean, my Pro and X are both full plus games on the shelf that are either half finished or never even started. As you say games are just getting bigger and my time to actually play them is shorter than ever and some of that time is takrn up by playing online with my stepson wgo likes Sea of Thieves at the moment. This is why I'm grateful for games like Resi 2 which I can beat pretty quickly without ever feeling rushed.
This year I'm only buying games when I've finished the one I'm actually playing which means it could be a while given Odyssey's size but I'm enjoying every minute of it so far. Other games will just have to wait for a change rather than me spending money for them just to sit there
@carlos82 Ok I see why you prefer RE2. But I still like these lengthy games even though I have less time, because you build a connection with the character after all those hours spent.
@TheArt I love my large games as well, I just need to start limiting how many I buy because I simply cant play them anymore. That's the mistake I made last year with the likes of RDR2 (which I want to return to after this) and having Spiderman, God of War and several others at the same time. This year I'm taking things more slowly and I'm hugely absorbed in this one and it's world at the moment and there is plenty for me to explore for some time, with maybe just a few small games to mix things up
@carlos82 Games, like most other things are best enjoyed in small doses, when you have too many, it gets overwhelming and you're more than likely to take some for granted and underappreciated.
@kyleforrester87 I would strongly recommend Dead Cells! I've got it on my switch and always keep coming back to it. I'm not normally a fan of rogue-like games, since they're a bit too much a time sink for me, but the permanent upgrade system in dead cells is brilliant - it lets you have material things to show your progress without falling into the trap where you're just grinding to upgrade stuff as opposed to improving your skill.
@BranJ0 thanks, I’m the same with rouge likes but I’ve been very tempted by it. Hoping to get a chance to pick it up tonight.
my farm just cause 3 fishing sim quick go dmc 5 massive backlog
Finally finished main story in ac odyssey, only 3 trophies left for plat and they are pretty easy ones. Guess ill start the dlc after that.
Also been playing MGS5 here and there, im going to try and get into it this time. Just a weird game.
