Meanwhile I have trouble creating a simple cube...
I forgot it came out. Crap. Let me see if it's too late to purchase
Hoping to pick this up tonight when I’m back from a few days working away. Fingers crossed it will still be available.
Labo VR did it better.
Just kidding, these animations look incredible, but you need a real artist behind it. I doubt I'd be able, or have the patience, to do anything in Dreams.
Good news. I got my early access.
Incredible! And in just a day! Can't wait to see what people create over the next couple of months!
I played some of the creations last night.
Out of 12 that I played absolutely all 12 were really bad.
My hopes are diminishing , I know its in early beta... but still
@fabisputza00 what did you play and what were you expecting? Remember this is still early access and most of what is there so far is just what a small number of people were able to cook up while the game was in beta for a few weeks.
I played a few yesterday - none of these - and while I had a bit of fun they are all a bit rough around the edges. But considering its only been out a couple of months even counting the beta, and decent games, even indie games, can take a few years, I'm impressed by what I've seen so far.
Is there a website running where I can pick out levels during the day to play at night?
@rjejr Yeah, I think it's indreams.me. They let you browse creations and I think let you que them up.
I haven't messed with the site enough yet.
@Octane Did you figure out how to make floors yet?
Enjoying this a lot so far just playing some of the levels people have created. The fun in this is that it is like a indie developers playground, lots of short game experiences that are fun to play through. Once full games are made it will be amazing. If you are expecting some great 3D level design straight off the bat then you are off your rocker!
Bought it to support MM but I'll get around playing it mid May, most likely. Hope that gives people enough time to come up with some great levels.
@Deadlyblack Thanks for the indreams, that's exactly what I was looking for.
I played a few "levels" not mentioned here. An open world collect-a-thon based on Cuphead, which was very basic but I like 3D world stuff, and a cool level sort of like Super Mario Galaxy whose name I can't recall, only that it had InPlace in the title. I think I spent 30 minutes on it.
Considering all of the great stuff that came out of LBP - I remember playing a 7-part JRPG like the old Squaresoft games that had crystals, castles, a dragon, all the fantasy tropes - we should get some truly remarkable stuff out of Dreams in time. At least we should after waiting all this time.
Ok. If i buy the early access then i get the full game when it comes out right?
@gmork That's the idea.
I have never regretted buying the game faster than I did with dreams.. I'm sure it's enjoyable for others, but the controls are so bad and not having mouse and keyboard support for such a game is a massive downer..
@Twocents From what I have seen and heard, its best to use the move controllers, much better than the controller.
Just a question on dreams, I know there are limited spots, so if I buy it off the store am I guaranteed a spot? I don't want to purchase it then get told there are no spots anymore and wait till November.
I'd like to just support the game, not sure I will create anything great but admire what they are doing.
