This is getting quite exciting, isn't it? Things have been very quiet when it comes to Death Stranding for a long time, and all of a sudden, it seems like we're finally getting a big update. Kojima Productions has confirmed as much, telling us something is due to drop on Wednesday 29th May. In the meantime, Hideo Kojima himself has been teasing the game on his own Twitter account.
The 30-second clips bear cryptic messages and ambiguous footage in the background. The first told viewers to "create the rope," which falls in line with Kojima's initial comments about sticks and ropes. The second of these teasers has just been posted. Here it is:
"Help us reconnect." Again, we're not sure exactly what it means, but we do know the game is all about connections. Roll on Wednesday; we can't wait to see what on Earth Kojima is cooking.

Ok...show us gameplay Mr Hideo, pls!
@steel76 You make it sound like it's a bad thing.
This and his comments about violence before (“there are violent elements”, implying that it isn’t the primary focus) makes me wonder if it’s like Journey where you meet anonymous players while chasing your objective? I’m sure it isn’t a walking simulator or anything though.
The rope metaphor is central to unravel too, fwiw.
I'm still holding onto the small hope that DS is a really elaborate fake game, and Kojima is actually going to release a spiritual successor to Silent Hill.
Ok now I’m getting sick of all these teasers show me some gameplay ffs. It’s been 3 yrs.
I think the game will have asynchronous multiplayer where's player can help another player like in bloodborne, not real time but maybe something like if one player die in the game, another player can help him by bringing him to life in the limbo place (maybe like in e3 2018 DS deep dive).
@Steel76 and you still will buy the game.word up son
Ultimately, I'm optimistically cautious about Death Stranding. I love the crazy plot and story. But the very short amount of gameplay that I witnessed just looked like a series of fetch quests with a sprinkle of puzzle platforming and stealth sections. It's very possible that this game may turn into a very elaborate playable movie; think of stuff like Detroit: Become Human and Heavy Rain, but with slightly more gameplay.
Day one purchase. Believe the hype people.
Guy with horns in the background image like satan. Taking a pill like the matrix.
Previous footage shows us a purgatory type environment, destitution with Mary Poppins figures, Babies in men's stomaches and big hand prints dotting the landscape. No hope just fear!
It's the make believe future of Britain under Teresa May.
@themcnoisy That’ll be a busy 2 weeks
He's hinting it's a games as a service game. Create the rope: we will tie you into micro transactions. Help us reconnect: you have to go into online world for a long period of time so you can buy micro transactions.
I thought the article pic was Evie Frye from AC Syndicate for a sec.
@SepticLemon
What crazy plot and story?? Haha
@themcnoisy Someone seemed to miss her announcing she's stepping down.
@Matroska Nope I was aware of that. Suffice the 'make believe' future of Britain under Teresa May.
