If you're still happily playing Apex Legends on PlayStation 4, you may have noticed a recent update for Respawn Entertainment's free to play shooter. The patch, which takes the game to version 1.08, is only there to update the PS Plus skin rewards on the PlayStation Store, and the patch notes are as vague as anything: "Stability improvements and bug fixes."
However, this small patch seems to be causing more trouble than it's fixing. A number of PS4 players have swarmed online to tell of their consoles crashing when they try to play the battle royale FPS. As it turns out, a particular banner for character Lifeline is what's causing the problem. If you happen to have the Pick Me Up banner, odds are your game will crash.
The good news is that Respawn is on the case. The studio has stated it's currently working on a fix for the crash issue.
Apparently the banner has been disabled, so crashes should be less frequent, but it won't be fully resolved until this new update is out. Have you been having trouble playing Apex Legends lately on PS4? Jump into the comments below.

PEOPLE still play this?
Jeez, what is with patches causing crashes now? Some developers just can't fix anything without breaking something else.
It's nice to see them working on something with this game.
