Darkwood is an upcoming top-down survival horror experience that you're going to want to keep your eye out for. It's set to scare PS4 players silly when it releases on 14th May, while also promising that we won't come across a single jump scare.
Developed by Acid Wizard Studios, the announcement trailer above hints at an army of grotesque monsters to slaughter, dilapidated environments, and melee weapons and guns to dispose of those enemies with. We also hope to god that the final soundtrack resembles anything like what this trailer has to offer.

I'm not a fan of the top-down look but otherwise this looks interesting! It's definitely on my radar now. Depending on the price at launch and reviews, this might be a week one buy.
Edit: It's got great reviews on Steam and is going for $15 USD there, so I'd guess $15 to $20 USD here on PS4. I'll never understand why devs often charge more than on PC/mobile but it's the world we live in.
I fell in love with top down on ps1. Loaded and Re:Loaded.....been gobbling up every solid top down/isometric game since. With both Hotline Miami's being my newest amazing example. This. Looks. F***in. awesome. everyone
Great trailer/music and the game looks pretty good with it’s top-down gameplay. A survival horror with combat (thank god!) always gets my interest, so this will be a purchase for sure.
Amazing atmosphere and some pretty intense moments in that trailer. Definitely interested.
Top down? Pass.
Played enough of these in the 90s with Alien Breed etc., and they weren't remotely scary then.
@Nyne11Tyme God, I totally forgot about Loaded. Sunk so many hours into that one.*
*Alas decent GCSE scores, I knew ye not.
If it doesnt cost TOO much ill prob pick it up right away. Looks cool!
100% getting this. Definitely hitting that Loaded/Silent Hill vibe.
Excellent game.
