RAGE 2 has been out for a good few days now, and so naturally we want to know what you lot think of it. The open world shooter was met with good-but-not-great critic reviews and to be totally honest, its arrival doesn't seem to have made much of a splash, but that's why poll articles like this one are important!
What do you think of RAGE 2? Are you enjoying it? How many hours have you played it for? What review score would you give it? Vote in our polls, and then feed us your unfiltered opinions in the comments section below.

I've seen reviews saying the open world is empty but the gameplay is fun. Probably will pick it up when its below 20 quid lol
Not interested. But I did hear that it tries to push you to going online by having some features which are unavailable if you don't.
Though I hate to admit it, I am very disappointed. I was really looking forward to it and the gameplay they showed at last years E3 made it one of my games of the show but the final product is full of disappointment. The combat is awesome and a lot of fun but everything else is tedium incarnate. The world, the driving, the characters and what I've seen of the story so far have been some of the most uninteresting in a game this year at least.
If you didn't have to spend ages driving to get to the next combat scenario, I wouldn't mind so much, but there's so much of it and it's boring as hell.
I've literally never heard of this game.
Put 'Streets of' in front. Then we can talk.
A question for anybody who has played this and Mad Max, how did they really mess up the car driving? I've seen a lot of complaints about the vehicle part but that was such a fun part of MM. So how is it different?
While there’s plenty about the game that isn’t brilliant, and will therefore quite rightly be marked down by reviewers, I’m really enjoying it. The gunplay is excellent and above all tons of fun. I’ve got plenty of other games that can keep me occupied with their stories and world building.
@Enuo You literally must be living in a rock.
I’m digging it, it’s exactly what I wanted from it, dumb, mindless, gory violence. It’s no masterpiece, but I’m enjoying it.
@Gumbopudding the driving is fine. Most vehicles have different upgrades more weapons, armor, and such.on another note the game is no masterpiece but I'm loving it. It's very fun! I scored an 8.
@LightingThor living in a rock, i like that
put in 10+ hours, gunplay makes me extremely excited for doom eternal but besides that it's another checkbox boring open world game. Returned it after two days..
Given the fact that it's a broken mess and that it's taken me 3 hours to get through 30-45 minutes of the game, I'm going to give it a miss until it has been patched properly. The audio bugs were just the start when huge chunks of dialogue would be missed if you paused the game or brought up the home screen menu. Then came the HUD bug - everything including the waymarkers and subtitles would disappear making it difficult to navigate & know what the NPCs would say when the aforementioned audio bug kicked in. To top it all off, the blurry draw distance is so rubbish that you can be shot at but not be able to pin point exactly where it's coming from. Oh, and don't get me started on the outRAGEous controls for driving.
I've been quite enjoying it to be honest, it's nothing outstanding but pretty good fun
I’ve put in around 7-8 hours and so far I’m enjoying it. It doesn’t really do anything new or original but is it fun? Hell yeah! Gun play is fantastic, and there’s lots of upgrades/abilities to unlock. Graphically it’s a bit of mixed bag - sometimes it looks a bit “soft”, other times it looks really nice, and there is some minor pop-in (even on the Pro) The menu can be a bit laggy too, but hopefully this’ll be improved in a patch. If you enjoyed Mad Max (I did) there’s a good chance you’ll enjoy this too. Overall, it’s a lot of fun and don’t regret buying it at all. PS; I gave it 7/10 in the above poll - “good”.
@Nightcrawler71 So what he says here isn't true? There aren't activities which are only available if you go online?

Genuine questions, I'm not saying I don't believe you.
@Paranoimia after watching some of the video in your link, I’ve amended my post. I didn’t realise there were online activities in the game (the guy in the vid says they are going to be added). The only “message of the day” I’ve seen is if the community achieves a collective number of kills they earn a skin. It’s obviously possible that the “playing alone isn’t as much fun” (I paraphrase obviously) message will probably pop up in my game at some point (especially when online activities are added) but I definitely don’t feel (yet) that it’s being forced upon me.
@Nightcrawler71 No worries! As I said, it was a genuine question... you have the game, and if he was wrong, I just wanted it clarified for my own sake. 👍
So Rage or Far Cry New Dawn in the battle of Technicolor post apocalyptic open world shooters?
@Futureshark haha it’s like the devs are struggling with new ideas so are adding loads of technicolour to try to keep them fresh!
Like Days Gone - don't believe the reviews on this one.
If you want to wait and take advantage of a future sale - sure. But either way, it is a solid game if you care to play it now.
I'm quite enjoying it, I prefer the first Rage environment but it keeps me gripped with the gameplay.
After reading reviews saying the open world was dead and the driving boring, I was pleasantly surprised to find that random events happen frequently while driving about.
