Well, this isn't an announcement we were expecting in the lead up to E3 2019, JUMANJI: The Video Game is a product you'll be able to purchase in a handful of months time. It's coming to PS4 on 15th November 2019.
After gleaning through the footage in the trailer above, the game looks to be based on the recent 2017 JUMANJI: Welcome to the Jungle movie, featuring the likenesses of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan. Hollywood Reporter states that this will be a co-operative adventure for up to three friends, where you'll all join together in search of the jewels of JUMANJI. "The game will maintain the humor of the rebooted franchise." We're interested at least!
Are you looking to take a trip to the jungle? Confess your love for The Rock in the comments below.

looks like an aweful ps2 game
A game based on a film in which they play a game.
Hopefully we can play with Karen Gillan... I mean AS Karen Gillan.
hey 2017 called, it want's it's game back
Ah, a game based on a movie. What could go wrong?
Between this and Ghostbusters, we really are in a golden age of gaming.
I remember a previous Jumanji that was just crappy Mario Party.
We haven't had a movie tie-in for ages.
If we can't use the Rock Bottom, this game ain't worth it.
@DerMeister well this game will hit the "Rock Bottom" anyway
Press X for dramatic intensity.
I would want to see gameplay before making a final decision.
I thought the movie was decent actually, chances are this wont be
The original Jumanji movie was a classic.
The new one is pretty bad, as you would expect.
The villain is really bland, he comes off like a mute fever zombie.
There's a ridiculously scene where they steal a helicopter and crash it thru the wall of the locked hanger.
That trick might work with a large truck, but a helicopter?
@Torakaka agreed
Getting Strange Brigade vibes.
The movie wasn't bad, and Karen Gillan is bae. I look at Nebula very differently after this movie. The game looks like it came straight from an iPhone though
The movie wasn't terrible, but definitely not in a rush to play the video game adaptation.
