DOOM 64

Bethesda has gone a bit DOOM mad in celebrating its 25th anniversary. The publisher recently released DOOMs 1, 2, and 3 on PlayStation 4, letting fans and a whole new generation play these old school shooters afresh. However, there's the possibility they aren't the only retro games heading to modern hardware.

As captured by Gematsu, an age rating for DOOM 64 for PS4 was posted by PEGI, the European ratings board for games. The listing has subsequently been deleted, leaving many to wonder if this was hastily posted ahead of an official announcement. It's tough to say what's happened here. It's possible this is a mistake from PEGI, which also posted listings at the same time for the other classic DOOM games. It's also possible Bethesda is planning to release the game on PS4 very soon, but why not at the same time as the other titles? Hopefully we'll learn more about this soon.

Do you want to see DOOM 64 on PS4? What do you think of the deleted rating -- is a PS4 release on the way, or was it posted in error? Raise hell in the comments below.
