Bethesda has gone a bit DOOM mad in celebrating its 25th anniversary. The publisher recently released DOOMs 1, 2, and 3 on PlayStation 4, letting fans and a whole new generation play these old school shooters afresh. However, there's the possibility they aren't the only retro games heading to modern hardware.
As captured by Gematsu, an age rating for DOOM 64 for PS4 was posted by PEGI, the European ratings board for games. The listing has subsequently been deleted, leaving many to wonder if this was hastily posted ahead of an official announcement. It's tough to say what's happened here. It's possible this is a mistake from PEGI, which also posted listings at the same time for the other classic DOOM games. It's also possible Bethesda is planning to release the game on PS4 very soon, but why not at the same time as the other titles? Hopefully we'll learn more about this soon.
Do you want to see DOOM 64 on PS4? What do you think of the deleted rating -- is a PS4 release on the way, or was it posted in error? Raise hell in the comments below.

Never played it, as I didn't care for the N64. Wouldn't mind playing a conservatively priced remaster.
I love playing the DOOM 64 EX PC port, and I'd be down for this. I'd probably get it on Switch though. Unless there's a huge gap in technical performance, I always go for a Switch version of anything.
I had fun playing Brutal Doom 64, since it made aiming with a mouse and moving with WASD so much nicer then the original controls of the N64.
If it gets ported to PS4, I really hope they use both control sticks lol.
What the difference between doom 64 and doom 1 classic?
@wiiware They're entirely different games. The maps are all new, and the game is much quieter and themed more towards horror, though it plays much more like classic DOOM than DOOM 3.
@Giygas_95 Nice, I definitely want more doom, I hope it will be released on ps4
@wiiware Me too. If you want to play now, just search for DOOM 64 EX. You can play it on your PC.
Yes. I want it. I just finished Doom1 and immediately continued with Doom2, then spend gold points on Switch to get Doom3. I'm a big fan of Doom, but never got a chance to play Doom64
Loved DOOM 64, one of my favourite shooters on that system which had a few great ones. The first 2 DOOM games are still a lot more fun than a lot of today's equivalents so the more the merrier
This was honestly my favorite Doom game growing up and I absolutely loved the soundtrack. Some of the most haunting tunes I ever heard and it captures the essence of Doom 64 perfectly. On PC I never found Doom to be very scary, but Doom 64 was a different story. The Dark Citadel, oh man. That level was something else.
I was really happy when about 5 years ago, I found a copy just sitting in the box at a flea market for 15 dollars, but I'd gladly buy it again for PS4 or Switch just to play it on my HD TV.
I guess it will be blurry then like all N64 games were I got a N64 just incase people think I'm a hater Perfect Dark is still the BEST 4 player split-screen game ever (+ Golden Eye)
But will it come to the PS64?
This is interesting doom 64 was made by midway published by Williams I think, so if they have the rights for this then they got to have the rights for the PSone port and all its gloomy glory, they didn't bring out final doom, so more classic doom games are there to be ported over and I say do it!
(I know final doom is 2 fan made megawads with official backing and counts as a entry to me)
