Stop us if you've heard this one before: a leak has all but confirmed that Janemba will be the next DLC character for Dragon Ball FighterZ. It was Microsoft that outed his existence a couple of months back, and now it appears to be Nintendo's turn as Janemba was actually listed on the company's UK site. The page has since been removed, but this is definitely happening.
This second leak comes just ahead of Evo 2019, which is taking place this weekend. Given the timing, we assume that Janemba is set to be fully revealed at the event.
If you don't know who Janemba is, he's primarily the bad guy in the movie Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn. Much like Cooler, Janemba's something of a fan favourite.

well Janemba has been known for ages what we really want to know is what's going on with Super Broly as the voice actor for him was told he would no longer be hired by funimation (on Sonys orders i might add who own funimation) just after recording Dragon Ball Super Broly
@FullbringIchigo they may be re-rcording Broly's voice samples and maybe that's what's taking so long.
@3Above possibly of course they could go the easy way and just use old voice lines, it's not like they don't have a load from other games (like they did for Ultimate Tenkaichi although then you had the issue of characters like Gohan's voice changing with each line he spoke) but my guess is they are waiting for funimation to recast him or for the whole situation to finish to see if they can start using him again or not, like i said it was Sony that made them drop him
Janemba! Janemba!
@Nickolaidas
@FullbringIchigo I wonder if they would have delayed it if it was another language voice actor in this situation? It kinda stinks that the English VO issues are affecting the release of this character in all Territories.
@3Above funimation and Toei have a very close relationship and the English dub is just as important to Toei as the Japanese one so much so that Resurrection F/Fukkatsu no F was actually premiered in America before Japan
not to mention that funimation was literally set up to bring Dragon Ball to the west you can understand why the English dub is so important
@FullbringIchigo Indeed
Kind of amazed he got in. I've been told he is actually a pretty popular character, but I don't think I'd have guessed he would even be in the top 50.
