Control, the new intellectual property from Max Payne maker Remedy, is finished ahead of its 27th August release date. The studio celebrated with a self-congratulatory post on social media, parading the finished product as an “achievement from the best dev team on the planet”.
It’s probably unrelated, but director Mikael Kasurinen decided to feature a photograph of the PlayStation 4 build. Sony is the chief marketing partner on the title, but there are rumours that the platform holder may have a closer relationship with the Finnish company.
We’ll find out for certain soon.

Cool. Pretty interested to see how this game stacks up.
Kinda a wild card this one, but I'm planning on getting it because I generally liked what I saw.
Nice. For some reason I'm very hyped for this!
I'm very excited for this! Unfortunately I won't have time to play it at release, but I'll definitely pick it up a bit later!
Interesting that they burned the image on a BD-R DL disc. Which means that some (special for developers?) PS4 consoles CAN play games from BD-R media. I'm not talking about possibilities for piracy, no, no. But making backup copies of the games for yourself would be awesome.
Ive watched or read nothing on this game on purpose. Will most likely be a day 1 AAA purchase for me. Outside Sony that doesnt happen much
I'm guessing hes showing the ps4 build because why not.
Never played a game from Remedy before, so this will be my first. Looking forward to a SCP like setting.
I really, really hope this is good
Some stuff ive watched looked good, other stuff i seen was just ok. But the ok stuff was older the good was newer. Im gonna get it, not day one, but looks interesting.
where is the media attention on this game? it is almost non existent on the big news outlets such as ign and gamespot. sadly, it feels like this game is going to be sent out to die as very few people even know it exists.
@Porco IGN is awful anymore. They seem to rarely even bother with reviews let alone previews or “gone gold” announcements....but hey, they had Comic-Con covered 😂😂
Remedy never fails.
Hyped beyond belief for this, between the brutalist architecture of the Bureau of Control, and the fact Remedy's my favorite in the biz, cannot wait!
I'm optimistic, enjoyed Max Payne and Alan Wake, never played Quantum Break as don't have a Xbox one. Hopefully its decent and worth a purchase, not much else of interest out in August.
